Citadel of the Fallen Daeva
October 6, 2026 at 11:28 PM
Added an overview, mechanics for Willful Turgen, Forbidden Hexbeast Griosa and Basilus the False, reward details and a patch history
Citadel of the Fallen Daeva is an Expedition dungeon added with Chapter 1. Lands of Sand and Snow, which reached the Korean and Taiwanese service on July 1, 2026. NCsoft announced the English name on July 6, 2026. The Korean name is 타락한 데바의 성.
The official story: long ago a legion turned a natural stronghold into a citadel and held it against a Balaur invasion. With the castle about to fall, its Daevas drove the Balaur off with forbidden black magic and were corrupted by it. Stripped of their honour, they shut themselves inside and fight on, as if waiting for a death that would wash the corruption away.
As of October 7, 2026, NCsoft's global notices have not listed which Expedition dungeons are open in the global build that launched on October 5, 2026; they say that all instanced content, including dungeons, is available cross-server. Everything on this page describes the Korean and Taiwanese service unless it says otherwise.

Philosopher's Stone: Revelation was added to the Conquest cube on July 8, 2026.
Order | Boss | Korean name | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
First | Willful Turgen | 의지의 투르겐 | Summons giant swords that the party clears by aiming red arrows at them |
Second | Forbidden Hexbeast Griosa | 금기의 마수 그리오사 | Marks every player with a delayed poison pool, then slices; groups stack the pools and let the slice clear them |
Final | Basilus the False | 위악의 바실루스 | Gives each player a golden or dark aura that decides which shield to break and where to stand; golden floor circles must be filled before they detonate |
Basilus is the boss named on the official Chapter 1 site. The other English names are the game client's English data. Strategy write-ups for Hard note that legendary-grade drops are noticeably rarer here than in older Expeditions.
Turgen summons giant swords that stick into the arena floor. Players drop the sword markers towards the outside and fairly close together, because the planted swords can be destroyed by Turgen's own red line attack, announced with a boast that his sword energy breaks everything. On August 19, 2026 NCsoft stopped a Brawler skill from targeting Turgen's swords.
Griosa marks one player as the watcher for a cone attack while every player gets a circle that drops a poison pool; overlapping a pool with the cone clears it, so the party sets its pools where the cone will pass rather than on the watcher. Griosa also summons magic feathers that fire projectiles until ranged players destroy them, roars with lightning, and calls on the power of the sky to send three donut rings shrinking inwards, during which everyone gathers on the watcher. See Forbidden Hexbeast Griosa.
Basilus gives each player a black or golden circle on the pull, and every later mechanic follows that colour: players overlap their red pool with Basilus's shield of the same colour to break it, step into wedges of their own colour and into their personal markers when the trial swords fall. In Judgment Explosion one marked player leaves the boss's reach while the other four stand on the remaining sword zones to absorb them. NCsoft fixed this pattern repeating when the marked player stood very far away (July 15 and August 19, 2026) and fixed swords sometimes failing to absorb players standing on them (July 29). See Basilus the False.
On September 9, 2026 the citadel became one of four Expeditions that drop all seven Draconic crafting materials in both bound and tradeable form, with Hall of Illusion, Azure Breath Island and Consumed Deus Research Base. Kina is paid as bound Kina in Exploration; regular, tradeable Kina in Conquest Normal and Hard.
On July 8, 2026 Philosopher's Stone: Revelation joined the Conquest cube, and the citadel's wing feathers (Korean 구원받은 타락의 날개 깃털) became convertible into Soul Crystals and Enhancement Stones.
