Consumed Deus Research Base is an Expedition dungeon in AION 2. NCsoft announced it under this English name in June 2026 as part of Chapter 1. Lands of Sand and Snow, and it opened on the Korean and Taiwanese service on August 12, 2026. The Korean name is 잠식된 데우스 연구기지; translated coverage has also used Corroded, Eroded and Encroached for the first word.
The official story: the base was built by Atheron in a sealed zone on an unstable part of the Abyss called Deus, where he pursued his ambition of becoming a god. The rampage of Atiel, the subject he had the highest hopes for, destroyed the base, and it sank into an Abyss storm. Only the maddened Zailus and Gromkas, who was ordered to watch over the base, remain. It shares its name and its boss Atiel with the Deus Research Base Transcendence dungeon.
Global service: Consumed Deus Research Base is not in the global client's game data as of its September 18, 2026 snapshot, and NCsoft has not announced it for the global service as of October 7, 2026. Everything on this page describes the Korean and Taiwanese service.

Bosses
The official site names Atiel of Arrogance as the dungeon's headline boss, and the September 9, 2026 patch adjusts the monsters placed in front of Gromkas. The same Atiel is the final boss of the Transcendence version; September 2026 fixes corrected the hit timing of some of his skills in both dungeons and made one of his skills in this Expedition avoidable with Focused Block or an evasion stance.

The order of Gromkas and Zailus is not stated in the notes. The Expedition opened with Exploration and Conquest Normal and Hard, and its Hard mode paid 15 event coins per clear during the Chuseok event against 10 on Normal.
Rewards
From September 9, 2026 it drops all seven Draconic crafting materials in both bound and tradeable form, one of only four Expeditions to do so. In the Chuseok event running from September 23 to October 7, 2026, its Hard mode paid 15 event coins per clear, as does the Hard mode of Citadel of the Fallen Daeva, against 10 for the Normal modes and for the Hard modes of Hall of Illusion and Azure Breath Island.
