The Legion of Truth
October 9, 2026 at 10:58 PM
Added dated September and October changes with separate gameplay modes
The Legion of Truth are one of the four main factions in ZeroSpace, a fanatical empire from beyond the reaches of known space devoted to their Emperor and a pantheon of god-like beings. Their motto is "Across a Million Worlds, We March". Their armies crusade across the cosmos to bring everything in their path under the Idals, purging those unwilling or unable to accept the voice.
Where other factions bring a single hero to a fight, the Legion is built around a few but powerful units and is the only force that fields all of its heroes in one battle. That makes hero positioning a central part of playing them well.

Trait | Effect |
|---|---|
Field Every Hero | The Legion is the only faction that brings all of its heroes to a single battle instead of one. |
Titanic Engines | The Terror Tank is a mobile fortress that reconfigures as the battle turns, breaking enemy lines under its treads. |
Expendable Faithful | Thralls are cheap and fragile, and they fall in waves to summon the might of the Emperor himself. |
Three Legion commanders have been named by the studio:
Commander | Role |
|---|---|
Galavax | Legion commander |
Inquisitress | Legion commander, and one of the characters given a dedicated unlockable portrait during Early Access |
Kraegar | Legion commander |
All three cost 150 Hexite and 150 Flux, are produced at the Altar rather than called in from the top bar, and are researched at the Armory. A fourth Legion hero entry sits in the community catalogue: Krag'vorn, Kraegar's beast, which spawns alongside him rather than being picked separately. It carries 200 health, rebuilds 60 seconds after it dies, and its Feed passive grants it +1 damage and +20 health for every allied beast that dies anywhere on the map. Because the Legion brings every hero it has to a fight, Kraegar effectively puts two bodies on the field.
The official faction page shows four sample units and says the full list is coming later. The current build data covers 13 Legion units and 14 structures, read in September 2026, the largest structure count of the four main factions. Thralls are ordered three at a time, so the cost buys the whole batch while supply is charged per body.
Each of the thirteen has its own page, reachable from the table below or from the index on Units. Their costs come out of the two currencies described on Resources and Economy.
Unit | Role | Cost | Supply | Health and Armor |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Light ranged infantry that attacks ground and air, ordered three at a time | 50 Hexite for three | 1 each | 70, Light armor | |
Tanky melee infantry, ground targets only | 50 Hexite | 2 | 200, Medium armor | |
Fast raider that can jump down cliffs and attacks ground and air | 75 Hexite | 2 | 200, Medium armor | |
Light ranged infantry whose damage builds the longer it keeps firing | 50 Hexite, 100 Flux | 4 | 180, Light armor | |
Light ranged infantry that raises a Tempest and generates energy by attacking | 50 Hexite, 125 Flux | 4 | 150, Light armor | |
Heavy beast that Legion infantry mount, with the rider changing what it does | 175 Hexite, 100 Flux | 6 | 1,000, Heavy armor | |
Massive tank with installable turrets | 200 Hexite, 200 Flux | 15 | 1,000, Heavy armor | |
Massive aircraft with installable turrets | 150 Hexite, 250 Flux | 15 | 800, Heavy armor | |
Massive ultimate-tier avatar summoned from the Ritual Site, hitting for 100 with splash and double damage to buildings | Summoned at the Ritual Site | None | 5,000, Medium armor | |
Flux harvester that also builds and repairs mechanical units and structures | 75 Hexite | None | 150, Medium armor | |
Light flying scout | 25 Hexite | None | 75, Light armor | |
Deployable healing site placed by Galavax, restoring 15 health a second | Placed by Galavax | None | 150, Building armor | |
Automated builder that raises Legion structures | No listed cost | None | 25, Medium armor |
The Mammoth is the clearest expression of the faction. It walks over allied infantry, stomps anything directly underneath it, and hits buildings far harder than most Legion units, but what it becomes depends on who climbs aboard. A Thrall grants it +125 move speed, a Steelsworn adds +3 armor, and a Dark Disciple or Storm Bringer makes it trample nearby enemies while it moves. The September 1, 2026 hotfix cut that trample from 60 damage a second to 45, removed the line damage the Mammoth used to deal whenever it killed something, and cut the mounted move speed bonus from a Dark Disciple or Storm Bringer from +125 to +50. The Thrall bonus was left alone.
The Legion Barracks and the Beastiary both open tier 1 mercenary hiring, the Citadel opens tier 2 and the Terror Tower tier 3. Thralls sacrificed on the Citadel speed research by 50% for 30 seconds, which is the same trade the faction makes everywhere else: bodies for tempo.
Structure | Role | Cost | Health |
|---|---|---|---|
Garrison Tower | Mining outpost that raises extractors on a hexite patch, upgradeable to attack | 400 Hexite | 2,500 |
Extractor | Hexite extractor, built by the Garrison Tower | 100 Hexite | 225 |
Idal Conduit | Provides 12 supply and recharges the energy of nearby units | 75 Hexite | 500 |
Legion Barracks | Basic unit production | 75 Hexite | 1,000 |
Beastiary | Beast production, and the source of the Exalted and the Mammoth | 100 Hexite | 1,000 |
Citadel | Opens tier 2 mercenary hiring, unlocks the Terror Tower, the Armory and the Altar, and converts sacrificed Thralls into research speed | 125 Hexite, 50 Flux | 2,000 |
Terror Tower | Carries the build unlocks for the Dark Disciple, Storm Bringer, Mammoth, Terror Tank and Dreadnought, and builds the last two 100% faster while they are nearby | 100 Hexite, 100 Flux | 1,000 |
Altar | Hero production | 100 Hexite, 75 Flux | 1,000 |
Armory | Research for Legion heroes | 100 Hexite, 25 Flux | 1,000 |
Healing Obelisk | Heals friendly units, and spends energy to heal more | 125 Hexite | 400 |
Guardian Obelisk | Defensive emplacement that spends energy for bonus damage | 190 Hexite | 400 |
Summoning Obelisk | Makes 8 Thralls at once, then a free Thrall every 30 seconds until it is destroyed | No listed cost | 500 |
Ritual Site | Ultimate-tier structure that produces the Emperor Projection | 300 Hexite | 1,000 |
Monolith | Massive ultimate-tier attacking structure | 635 Hexite | 1,000 |
One conflict is worth flagging. The Citadel's own in-game text still says it unlocks Dark Disciples and Mammoths, while the build's unlock data attaches the Dark Disciple, Storm Bringer and Mammoth to the Terror Tower along with the Terror Tank and the Dreadnought. The Citadel is what unlocks the Terror Tower, so the two readings agree on the order you build them in and disagree only on which structure carries the entry. Treat the tower as the gate until a patch note settles it.
Legion support structures include the Healing Obelisk and the Ritual Site, and the faction has a Reanimate ability that brings units back into the fight. Efficient Upgrades is a Legion research bonus that speeds up and discounts their technology; as of August 14, 2026 it gives 40% faster research and 40% cheaper research, having been cut to 35% on both counts three days earlier from 40% speed and a 60% discount.

August 28, 2026 | Inquisitress | Charge cooldown lengthened from 6 to 7 seconds and charge speed raised from 2000 to 2800 |

The Legion are playable across the Campaign, the Galactic War and ranked Skirmish. They are also the force whose dark crusade drove the Xol to the brink of extinction, which sets up one of the sector's central conflicts.
Inquisitress gained the Tier 2 Wake of Fire upgrade: Charge leaves a fire trail dealing 50 damage per second for five seconds and grants three armor for its three-second buff. One Life For Another maximum orbs fell from six to three and healing changed from the sacrificed Thrall's health to twice that health. Kraegar's Killer Instinct upgrade additionally reduces its cooldown from eight to four seconds.
