ZeroSpace is a science fiction real-time strategy game that blends classic base-building and army combat with a story-rich, party-based role-playing campaign. You take command of the Protectorate, humanity's military force in the distant Orion Sector, leading fleets, building economies, and waging war across alien worlds. The game is developed by Starlance Studios together with Ironward, and published by Starlance Studios. It is a PC exclusive with no console versions planned, and it enters Early Access on July 20, 2026.
Three Pillars

ZeroSpace is built around three connected experiences. The single-player Campaign is a cinematic, choice-driven story in which your decisions shape the fate of the Orion Sector. The Galactic War is a persistent, seasonal cooperative mode where the whole community pushes back enemy forces across a shared galaxy map. Skirmish is the competitive layer, offering ranked 1v1 and 3v3 battles as well as cooperative matches against the computer.
Across all three modes you gather resources, expand a base, research upgrades, and field large armies led by powerful hero units. The shared systems of Resources and Economy, Heroes and Commanders, and Units carry over from one mode to the next.
Setting
The story unfolds in the Orion Sector during humanity's seventh phase of expansion beyond the Sol system, a frontier home to roughly ten alien civilizations. As commander of the Protectorate, you upgrade your Mothership, build relationships with your crew, recruit an army, and make branching choices that influence which Factions become allies or enemies.
Factions and Forces

ZeroSpace ships with four base Factions and seven specialized mercenary groups that can be mixed into your forces. The official Early Access description lists all four main factions, the human Protectorate, the insectoid Grell, the Legion of Truth, and the robotic Xol; three were active during the pre-launch demo while the Xol was redacted and finished during development ahead of launch. Together the factions field more than 150 units and buildings.
What Makes It Different
A full narrative Campaign with cinematic cutscenes, interactive dialog, and choices that carry consequences.
A shared, seasonal Galactic War that plays like an ongoing community war effort.
Competitive Skirmish shaped with input from veteran professional strategy players.
Hero-led armies, faction experience levels, and unit veterancy layered on top of a traditional RTS economy.
Release and Availability
ZeroSpace launches in Early Access on July 20, 2026, as a Windows PC exclusive. A free demo was offered during Steam Next Fest from June 15 to 22, 2026, and the developers kept it open after the festival, with the Campaign, Galactic War, and Custom games playable ahead of the July 20 launch. Starlance Studios self-publishes the game and has lined up a regional partner to bring it to players across Asia. See System Requirements for the full PC specs and the list of supported languages.
