The Xol are the fourth main faction of ZeroSpace, a civilization of autonomous robotic consciousness brought to the brink of extinction by the dark crusade of the Legion of Truth. Their motto is "For Purpose. For Survival." Though fiercely individualistic, they are united by a single imperative: survival.
Their bodies are shells of liquid metal and their minds are older than any living empire. As the tide of annihilation turns against them, they bring the most advanced robotics technology in the galaxy to bear and reshape their armies in the middle of a fight.
How They Fight
Trait | Effect |
|---|---|
Merge | Combine simple units into far greater forms, then split them back apart when the situation changes. |
Reconfigure | Reshape the whole army mid fight to answer whatever threat appears. |
Outtech Everyone | The Xol field the most advanced robotics technology in the galaxy. |
Commander
The named Xol commander is Anrubic. See Heroes and Commanders for how commanders are used across the modes.

Beta Status
The Xol became playable for the first time at the Early Access launch on July 20, 2026, and the published roadmap labels them a beta faction for the Early Access period. They can be played in the campaign, custom games and the Galactic War, but the studio holds them out of ranked matchmaking until community balance testing settles. They still appear as a filter option on the official standings page alongside the Protectorate, the Grell and the Legion of Truth.
Because their units merge and reconfigure, Xol army composition is less fixed than the other factions, and balance updates during Early Access have repeatedly adjusted how their buildings and prerequisites queue.
