Taco is a epic-tier cooked dish in Windrose. A hearty stacked corn tortilla with beans and tomato. Mastery improves critical hit chance per the attribute guide, so Taco is the crit-oriented build's staple.

Buff Stacking Rule

Windrose allows exactly two active food buffs at once. Eating a third cooked dish overwrites the oldest active buff. Raw food still fills the hunger meter but grants no stat buff. See Food and Potions for the full ruleset.

Role in the Meta

Taco is the Epic Mastery dish. Mastery governs critical hit behavior and is a preferred stat for finisher-heavy builds. It pairs well with Elixir of Precision for marksman-style pistol and musket rotations, or with a Mastery-scaling Executioner halberd build. The +20 Mastery magnitude is documented primarily on method.gg; other sources confirm Epic tier and 30-minute duration but do not always name the stat explicitly.

Recipe Source Conflict

Mobalytics and method.gg: 5 Tomato + 5 Beans + 6 Cornmeal + 2 Mysterious Spice. Dexerto: 5 Tomato + 5 Beans + 4 Tortilla + 2 Mysterious Spice. Dexerto substitutes 4 Tortilla (itself made from Cornmeal) for raw Cornmeal, which looks like a version-change or downstream-item display quirk. The Cornmeal form is the two-source majority.

Station Requirement

Cooking Fire + Cutting Table + Cookware Shelf, plus a Millstone nearby for Cornmeal production. The Millstone itself is a small-station build unlocked once Corn is first picked up in the Foothills.
