Marksman's Boots is the Rare feet piece of the Marksman's Rig set in Windrose. It is crafted at the Armor and Clothing Workshop after unlocking the Plans: Marksman's Boots recipe.

Rarity: Rare
Slot: Feet
Set: Marksman's Rig
Item Level: Base ilvl 1; scales to ilvl 11 through tier upgrades
"Tortuga's marksmen favor attire made of light fabric. It allows easier movement across rough terrain and steadier shots at moving targets."
Like all Rare and Uncommon armor, Marksman's Boots has three crafting tiers that set its base Defense. Each tier can be upgraded several more levels at the Upgrading Station using the same recipe materials.
Item Level | Defense | Craft Tier |
|---|---|---|
1 | 100 DEF | Base tier |
6 | 200 DEF | Second tier (upgraded recipe) |
11 | 300 DEF | Third tier (top recipe) |
Defense is the only combat stat carried by armor in this game; pieces do not add raw attribute points, so the Upgrading Station is where most of a piece's protection comes from. Each crafted tier of Marksman's Boots can be reinforced several extra levels with the same recipe materials, and the Upgrade System lets a lower tier be pushed close to the next tier before you commit the rarer ingredients for the higher recipe.
Requires the craft plan Plans: Marksman's Boots to be unlocked first. The plan is unlocked through progression with the People of Tortuga faction at higher Reputation Ranks beyond the torso and legs plans that open at Rank 2.
Item Level | Station | Materials |
|---|---|---|
1 | 4 Coarse Fabric, 2 Rough Hide | |
6 | 4 Linen Fabric, 2 Tanned Leather, 1 Sewing Tools | |
11 |
Each tier unlocks a new workshop attachment: the Shoemaker's Bench at ilvl 6 and the Material Rack at ilvl 11. Both attach to the Armor and Clothing Workshop and require its Bonfire coverage to function.
Marksman's Boots counts toward the Marksman's Rig 5-piece set. Set bonuses apply globally once the stated number of pieces are equipped at the same time.
Pieces | Bonus |
|---|---|
2-piece | Sprinting, Jump, and Dash consume 30% less Stamina. |
4-piece | Increases Ranged Damage by 15%. |
Both bonuses are global buffs that switch on the moment the required number of Marksman's Rig pieces are worn together, regardless of which slots they fill. The 2-piece stamina discount on Sprinting, Jump, and Dash keeps a ranged fighter mobile while kiting, and the 4-piece ranged damage boost makes the full set the standard choice for Precision and Agility shooters.
The five pieces of the Marksman's Rig set, one per equipment slot, are listed below. Set bonuses count any mix of these pieces, so partial builds are common.

"First, shoot. Second, ask questions."
Boots are one of the two ilvl-scaling feet slots (along with the other sets' boots) and share material costs with the Gloves tier.
Counts as one piece toward the Marksman's Rig 2-piece and 4-piece bonuses: pairing it with a second piece from the same set is usually the minimum to get value out of the plan.
Marksman's Rig is a Cloth set, so the boots cost Coarse Fabric and Rough Hide early, then Linen Fabric and Tarred Fabric at higher tiers, keeping the whole rig off the ingot economy.
Because the 2-piece stamina cut applies to mobility actions rather than attacks, the boots and one more piece are a cheap way to make any Blunderbuss, Pistol, or Musket build more agile even before the full ranged-damage bonus comes online.

Marksman's Boots is a crafted item and does not drop from enemies or chests. It is made at the Armor and Clothing Workshop once its plan has been bought from the People of Tortuga, so the only way to obtain it is to unlock the plan and craft it yourself.
