Major Sun Ring is an epic ring in Windrose. It modifies wood plague accumulation speed in plague zones when worn in an accessory slot. It is the top-tier ring in the Sun line and is notable for using Ingot Arborum instead of Sapphire, so the upgrade cost is different from the other Major rings.

Reduces the Wood Plague accumulation speed in plague zones by 45%
The Wood Plague accumulates while you stand in plague-infested zones and eventually becomes lethal if you do not leave. Wearing this ring during expeditions into plague areas gives you a much longer window to loot before pulling out.
The Wood Plague debuff builds while you stand in infested ground such as the Cursed Swamps, and at full stacks it drains your health. The Sun Ring is the dedicated counter: cutting accumulation by 45% nearly doubles how long you can stay before the plague forces a retreat, which is the difference between clearing a Plague Crusher camp in one trip and having to leave halfway.
Crafted at the Jewelery Table. The Jewelery Table is the accessory workbench in Windrose and must be placed indoors under a roof and within range of a Bonfire to function. Building it the first time requires Wood, Foothills Iron Ingot, and Silver Ingot.
Unlike the other Major rings, this one swaps the usual Sapphire for Ingot Arborum, a wood-themed alloy that fits the ring's anti-plague theme. If you are gem-starved, that makes the Sun Ring cheaper to finish than the gem rings, so it is often the first epic ring plague-divers craft.

Rings in the Sun Ring line share the same base effect; each tier increases the magnitude. The Major Sun Ring sits at the Epic tier. The full line:

Epic | Major Sun Ring | Reduces the Wood Plague accumulation speed in plague zones by 45% |
Windrose characters have three accessory slots: one ring slot, one necklace slot, and one miscellaneous slot. Only one ring can be worn at a time, so pick the one whose bonus best matches your primary weapon or task.
Any ring crafted at the Jewelery Table can be broken down at the Disassembly Table, returning a portion of its silver. If you swap to a different ring effect, disassembling the old one recovers some of the materials.
Warmth emanates from the ring. Perhaps long ago, such rings were worn by priests who worshipped the sun as a god.
Wear the Sun Ring only while you are inside plague zones; outside them the effect is dead weight and you are better off with a combat ring on the single ring slot. A common loadout for swamp runs is the Sun Ring plus heavy armour and a Minor Ring of Divine Protection kept on standby for the boss at the end, swapped in once you are clear of the plague ground.
If you only need occasional plague access, the Minor Sun Ring covers 30% reduction from cheaper materials and is enough for shallow incursions; reserve the Major version for deep, sustained expeditions.
