Overview
Perfectly balanced and deadly precise. Wrought from a magically tuned alloy, it flies true, as though bewitched.
Bullet Arborum is the top-tier Tier 3 firearm projectile in Windrose and the only bullet that applies a critical-damage modifier rather than a flat Ranged Damage bonus. Where Iron Bullets lift baseline damage by 10%, Bullet Arborum instead adds a 30% bonus to critical hits, which pairs naturally with Precision-focused builds and high-crit firearms. Combined with its Excellent ballistics it is the cleanest long-range option in the ammo roster, at the cost of an expensive Ingot Arborum material gate.

Crafting
Bullet Arborum is crafted at the Workbench upgraded to level 3. A single Ingot Arborum produces five Bullet Arborum per craft.
Station | Ingredients | Output | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
Workbench (Lvl 3) | 5x Bullet Arborum | 1s |
The real gate is not the crafting recipe but the Ingot Arborum supply. Ingot Arborum is a late-game alloy, and because five bullets cost one ingot, a full stack of 40 Bullet Arborum requires eight ingots. That is a substantial commitment, so most players stockpile Bullet Arborum specifically for boss phases and elite pirate officer fights rather than firing them on patrol trash.
Sources
Bullet Arborum is craft-only. The item does not appear in any chest loot table, is not sold by any vendor, and is not granted as a quest reward in the version 0.10.0 database. Every round must come off the Workbench Lvl 3 craft loop, which makes Ingot Arborum the single-point-of-supply bottleneck.
When to Use
The +30% Critical Damage modifier is strongest when paired with a high-crit weapon and a Precision-heavy build. Typical boss openers benefit the most: a Musket or Pistol shot into unbroken frames can land a guaranteed or near-guaranteed critical, and the extra 30% damage on that critical converts into a meaningful health chunk on the boss health bar.
Against ordinary enemies the payoff is smaller. Bullet Arborum is functionally identical to Iron Bullets on non-critical shots, so the material cost rarely pays off for trash mobs. Reserve Bullet Arborum for ship boarding spikes, Blackbeard pirate officer encounters, and dungeon bosses where the crit window is reliable.
Comparison with Other Bullets

| +10% Ranged Damage | Good | Workhorse from Foothills on | |
| Bullet Arborum | +30% Critical Damage | Excellent | Boss openers, crit builds |

Boss Fight Priority
The +30% critical damage modifier is the strongest single ammunition effect in the firearm roster, but it is also the most expensive round per shot. Because the full crit damage bonus only applies to hits that crit (and a regular body shot does the same damage as an Iron Bullet round on non-critical hits), the material cost only pays back reliably on shots that are guaranteed to be critical hits. The practical rule: reserve Bullet Arborum for boss encounters, pirate officer fights, and controlled ship-combat cannon windows where the first shot is a planned headshot.
Iron Bullets for patrol. Use Iron Bullet as the default loading for exploration, trash mobs, and animal hunting. The +10% flat ranged damage applies to every shot regardless of whether it crits, which pays out more consistently against targets that die in one or two rounds. Swapping to Bullet Arborum only when the planned-crit window opens keeps the enchanted-alloy stockpile intact for the fights that actually need it.
Enchanting Table is the gate, not the Workbench. The single ingot that produces five bullets is the binding material, and the ingot itself is crafted at the Enchanting Table rather than the Workbench. Essence Arborum comes from smelting Plague Wood (harvested with an iron axe in the Cursed Swamps), so the full supply chain is: harvest Plague Wood, smelt into Essence Arborum at a smelting furnace, process into Ingot Arborum at the Enchanting Table, then craft five bullets per ingot at the Workbench. Every step needs a different station, which is what makes the round expensive in practice even though the recipe itself is lean.
