For the premise and cast context, see Story and Setting. The requests mentioned below are listed in Side Quests.

Huther and the opening ruins

Objective	What to do
Reach Huther Castle	Follow the opening beach scene, enter Huther and visit the throne room. Shopping and town exploration can be done before leaving for the ruins.
Enter Unexplored Ruins	Step on the entrance switch, activate the guidepost and take the eastern stairs because the red door is locked.
Find the blue key	On the lower floor, push the pillar onto the red button. Open the chest on the left and use its blue key to continue through the blue door.
Find the red key	After the mandatory fight, take the stairs to the First Level. Break the pots so the pillar can reach its button, open the red chest and return to the entrance's red door.
Defeat Greatsword Guardian	Heal before entering the boss room. After the fight, collect the fragments, continue to the scene beyond the arena and return to Huther.

Mist Ruins and the first time crossing

Objective	What to do
Prepare for Mist Ruins	Meet the Magicite Merchant in Huther, arrange the desired weapon setup and leave through the northwestern Northern Gate.
Open the blue door	Take the blue key from the chest on the left and open the door on the right. A pushable pillar can hold its button and block the arrows while reaching the optional chest.
Set up the return route	Pass the mandatory fight and speak to the stranded NPC. Move the large pillar between the other two pillars before continuing, so the later platform crossing is possible.
Reach the red key	After the two staircases, continue to the central room and enter its northwestern room. Line up the pillars with two floor tiles between them to reach the red chest.
Reach the boss guidepost	Use the northeastern stairs, cross the prepared pillars and lower the ladder before proceeding. Activate the guidepost and restock if needed.
Return after Great Bow Guardian	Defeat the boss, collect the fragments and open the chest beyond it. Back in Huther, visit the throne room to unlock the first mandatory requests.
Open the Doorway of Time	Complete Euygene's and Leyka's requests, visit the princess's room and return to the throne room. Then revisit the Doorway Ruins and cross into the Age of Reconstruction.

Littlehope and the first Northern Tower visit

Objective	What to do
Obtain Bombs	Progress through Littlehope's northern-exit scene and complete the Shrewd Adventurer's request. Bombs clear the rockslide on the route toward the Northern Tower.
Cross Northern Caves	Travel through the snowy camp and take the bridge west. Enter Northern Caves and defeat Ulfr Frostclaw in the western room.
Start the tower elevator	Activate the guidepost outside Northern Tower. Inside, press the switches in the northwestern and northeastern rooms; the northeastern room contains a mandatory fight.
Open the tower's red door	On the next floor, follow the rooms clockwise to obtain the red key. The first room has a compulsory battle and the third contains a pillar puzzle.
Continue after the scripted encounter	The initial Northern Tower boss encounter is a scripted defeat. The retail story continues afterward; this is the endpoint of the Prologue Demo.

Faie, Ignite and the Moonmirror

Objective	What to do
Travel with Faie	After meeting Faie and Heurich, visit Heurich's camp to the north. Continue west and south toward Southern Caves.
Learn Ignite	Cross the caves to the Shrine of the Mystic and finish the Ignite trial. Leaving the shrine also opens access to Faie's Magic Lessons.
Defeat The Rathomobile	Continue south through Southern Caves. Use Ignite and return the bombs to break the boss's shield, then attack it during the opening.
Obtain Heavy Hammer	Open the red chest west of the arena and use Heavy Hammer on the nails blocking the exit. Leave through the southern and eastern route and return to town to restore fast travel.
Find Rainbow Lotus	Return to Huther, speak to Euygene and ask the adventurers in the tavern about the Moonmirror. From Eastern Eddartrayl, travel northwest past the ruined house and use Ignite to open the marshland route.
Recover the Moonmirror	Find Rainbow Lotus's red key and open the way from southern Sublevel One. Against Lord of the Maw, leave Bombs while it inhales, then attack its antennae during the stun. Open the chest beyond the arena.
Complete Capricious Neighbors	Report to Euygene and try to visit Heuria. Complete the Ailurophilic Traveler's cat request, speak to the guard outside Heuria's room and take the easternmost castle stairs for the next scene.
Seek the earlier age	Return to the Age of Reconstruction to find the next Doorway of Time.

Warp, Weyzn and the Kaifried rematch

Objective	What to do
Open Eastern Caves	Speak to Heurich in Littlehope's tavern for the key. Enter Eastern Caves and follow the southern route to Bridd Anemomancer.
Learn Warp	After the boss, leave the caves and head north to the Shrine of the Mystic. Learn Warp before continuing toward Doorway Ruins.
Reach the Age of Magic	Solve the Doorway Ruins light-beam puzzles, obtain the red key and defeat the Tag Guardians. The doorway beyond leads to the Age of Magic.
Meet Mao and Carter	Meet Marnie in Weyzn, then travel to Whiterea. Follow the scenes at Mao's home and the shack to the north.
Strengthen the Moonmirror	Return inside Mao's home for the enchantment. The strengthened shield enables perfect guards.
Defeat Kaifried	Return to Northern Tower for the rematch. Watch for the red flash and time a perfect guard to create an opening. After the victory, visit Huther Castle, then return to the Age of Magic.

The Age of Budding and the Myu child

Objective	What to do
Obtain the Western Caves key	Meet Marnie, visit Ikarus' Manor and speak to Fausta. Go to Mao's home in Southern Whiterea for Carter's key to Western Caves.
Cross the final doorway	Travel through Western Caves toward the Garretbelt doorway. Complete Doorway Ruins, obtain the red key and defeat the Delta Guardians to reach the Age of Budding.
Follow the child	Speak to Hirk in Hitoyori's southwestern house, then travel to Southern Whiterea. After the Ulfr Camp scene, follow the child to Dragonpillar.
Learn Copy	Finish the Copy trial at the shrine outside Dragonpillar before entering the dungeon.
Rescue the Myu child	Find Dragonpillar's red key and reach Rouser of Destruction. Break the icicles and throw the ice cubes to damage its armor. After the rescue, the story takes Elliot to Lyudmila's house for the Frostlock Spell explanation.
Begin the curse investigation	Return to Euygene in Huther. The next objective is to trace the caster of the Frostlock Spell; ending preparations now need separate attention.

Tracing the curse

Objective	What to do
Find the Tracing Needle lead	Speak to Calotesia in Littlehope, then travel to Mount Phoenix and defeat Salathmadra.
Return to Euygene	Open the chest beyond Salathmadra for the Tracing Needle. Report to Euygene at Huther Castle to identify Northern Tower as the next destination.

Ending routes

Before committing to the final sequence, use Endings and Missables for the save order, Leytstaf preparations and Amber Pendant route. The final true-ending battle is covered in Demise the Destroyer.
