Demise the Destroyer is the final boss of the true-ending route. Its encounter begins on the Phoenix and then changes to a direct fight using Elliot. The later battle has three health bars and becomes more dangerous near the end.
Preparation
Equip the strongest suitable weapons and shield available, finish the desired Magicite setup and upgrade Faie's Fairy Magic before starting. Carry both a close-range and a ranged option so the loadout can respond when the boss's weak point is unavailable. The Spear Magicite Build is one option if its high-Life conditions suit the equipment already collected.
Phoenix approach
During the first stage, Elliot rides the Phoenix while Faie directs its fire breath. Keep the breath on Demise while moving out of the telegraphed attacks. Deal with enemies approaching from behind before they accumulate. This stage uses the Phoenix rather than Elliot's normal weapon attacks.
Breaking the guard
The ground battle focuses on the glowing belly. When its shield is active, attacks cannot damage that weak point directly. Strike the claws to open the guard, then redirect damage into the belly. This gives the fight a repeated pattern: create the opening first, then spend the damage window on the exposed target.
Use Copy after breaking the guard. The duplicate repeats Elliot's actions and attacks, so activating it while the weak point can actually be damaged gives more value than using the same duration against the closed shield. Resume watching the claws and belly as soon as the protection returns.
Final energy orb
At around half of the final health bar, Demise adds a large energy ball in the center of the arena. The ball grows, emits damaging lasers and has a health bar of its own. Turn attacks toward it immediately. Allowing it to finish growing can remove a large amount of Life, making it risky to ignore the orb while chasing the boss's remaining health.
Optional revival scene and music
A defeat during the second stage can reveal an optional scene if Request Revival is selected. The sequence also awards the music track To Claim a Better Future. This is an optional branch, so players seeking the scene should account for it before completing the encounter.
The boss is part of the true-ending route described on Story and Setting, rather than an ordinary optional fight reached from the beginning of the game. See Enemies and Bosses for the rest of the documented roster.
