The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is an HD-2D action RPG in which Elliot, a young orphan adventurer, and Faie, a fairy only he can see or hear, set out on a mission that spans a thousand years of history. Their goal: to lift the curse on Princess Heuria of the Kingdom of Huther, the sole protected bastion of humanity on the continent of Philabieldia. To do so, they must travel backward through four distinct ages, crossing the Doorway of Time into ever more distant pasts, uncovering the world's mysterious history one era at a time.
The adventure begins with the discovery of heretofore unknown ruins outside the kingdom. The royal scholar Euygene, an old friend of Elliot's, recommends him for the task of exploring them. That initial foray sets in motion a journey that will carry Elliot and Faie far beyond the kingdom's walls and backward through time itself. What the ruins contain has not been revealed ahead of the game's release.
The central quest is framed as a thousand-year mission. Princess Heuria's curse is its driving force: until the curse is lifted, she must remain in the castle at all times to maintain the spell of Safekeeping that protects the kingdom from the beast tribes overrunning the continent. The precise origin of the curse, who cast it, and its full nature remain unrevealed in pre-release materials. What is clear is that the answer lies somewhere in Philabieldia's past, requiring Elliot and Faie to trace history backward through each of the four ages.
The journey is not merely one of historical investigation. Across every age, a terrible threat looms over Elliot and Faie's adventure. The exact nature of this threat has not been revealed before launch. It is confirmed to span all four time periods, suggesting it is not confined to any single era. Its connection, if any, to Princess Heuria's curse or to the mysterious ruins is unknown.
Faie is far more than a guide. Her fairy magic supports Elliot throughout their journey, and in local co-op a second player can take direct control of her. But Faie carries her own mystery: her memories from before meeting Elliot are hazy, and throughout the adventure she cannot shake the feeling she is forgetting something important. What she has forgotten, and why, is not revealed in pre-release materials.
The structure of the story is unusual: Elliot does not travel forward to fix the future but backward to understand the past. He begins in his own era, the Age of Safekeeping, and journeys through the Age of Reconstruction, the Age of Magic, and finally the Age of Budding, the earliest period in Philabieldia's history. Each age has its own cast of characters, its own struggles with the beast tribes, and its own clues about how the world arrived at the state Elliot knows. The intertwining of these fates across a millennium is summarized by the game's own framing: it is time to unravel the threads of history.
Several narrative questions are intentionally left open ahead of release. The origin and caster of Princess Heuria's curse, the full nature of the terrible threat across the ages, the contents of the mysterious ruins, the meaning of the thousand-year mission beyond the stated goal, and the truth behind Faie's lost memories are all confirmed gaps. The game releases June 18, 2026; this article will be updated as the story becomes fully public.
