The Hammer is one of the seven weapon types Elliot can carry. It swings slowly compared to other options, but each hit lands with exceptional force, making it well-suited for enemies that require sustained damage pressure.
Attack Behavior
Standard hammer swings are deliberate and wide. Because the attack animation is slow, landing hits requires attention to enemy movement and spacing. Despite that drawback, the raw damage output is among the highest of the available weapon types, rewarding players who commit to the timing.
Charged Special
Holding the attack button charges the hammer into a devastating rush attack. Elliot surges forward and delivers a powerful blow on release. In the demo, this charge covered noticeable ground and staggered enemies on contact, though specific values for the full release have not been confirmed yet.
Traversal and Puzzle Use
The hammer doubles as an environmental tool: it can pound pegs or stakes into the ground. Driven pegs serve as footholds for reaching elevated areas and as anchors for certain puzzle mechanisms, giving the hammer a secondary role in exploration beyond raw combat.
Magicite
The Lightning Mallet is a named Magicite piece confirmed for the hammer. Equipped, it adds electrical bolts to the hammer's charged special attack. Rarer versions of the Lightning Mallet expand the strike pattern outward, hitting a broader area around the point of impact. As with all magicite, rarer pieces cost less to equip despite their stronger effects.
