Magnificent Killifish is a small but strikingly colorful freshwater fish found in the River zones of Starsand Island. Despite its compact size, this species stands out with vivid patterns that make it one of the more visually appealing catches in the game. Magnificent Killifish is a seasonal species, appearing only during Autumn and Winter. With a sell price of 106 Coins, it sits in the mid-range of river fish values and serves as a reliable income source during the colder seasons.

How to Catch

Visit any River fishing spot during Autumn or Winter. Magnificent Killifish has one of the wider time windows among river species, biting from 6:00 AM all the way to 12:00 AM (midnight). It spawns in all weather conditions, so you never need to wait for rain or sunshine. Equip your Fishing Rod and use either Bug Bait or Meat Bait. Both are crafted at the Chopper station.

• Cooking: Process Magnificent Killifish into Fish Fillet at the Separator. Fish Fillet is a base ingredient used across many fish-based cooking recipes.

• With an 18-hour daily catch window (6 AM to midnight), Magnificent Killifish is one of the easiest river fish to target. You can fish for it at almost any time of day.

• It shares the Autumn/Winter season with Leaffish in the same River zone. A single fishing trip can yield both species.

• Sell through the Merchant Ship at Starsand Port for 212 Coins instead of the base 106.

• If you are leveling the Angler Profession, Magnificent Killifish's generous time window makes it a good species for grinding catches during Autumn.
