Land Expansion

New article: land expansion guide with unlock requirements and costs
You start with a small plot at Hopeland, your home area. It feels cozy at first, but the space runs out fast once you start farming or setting up animal enclosures. Expanding your land should be one of your first priorities.
You cannot buy land until you have the Buy Land app on your phone. This unlocks automatically when you complete the fifth set of tasks in the Island Life app, called Junior Talent. To reach that point, you need to:
Reach Junior level in any profession (Farming, Ranching, Crafting, Fishing, or Exploration).
Complete five requests from the town's Bulletin Board.
Finish the four sets of Island Life tasks before Junior Talent.
Once you finish everything, open Island Life to claim your rewards, and the Buy Land app will add itself to your phone.
Just follow the questline for whichever profession you picked. After each level-up, register with both Solara and your mentor. As long as you accepted the quest from your mentor, you will always have a quest marker telling you where to go.
The profession mentors are:
Graminova for Farming (usually at the farm behind the Happiness Seed Shop).
Pastelle for Ranching (usually roaming around Green Pasture Ranch).
Zerine for Crafting (usually in the General Store).
Delphin for Fishing (usually inside the AquaBlue Outpost).
Zephyria for Exploration (usually near the Exploration Club).
If you have lost track of a mentor, open your map. On the left side there are four icons in a vertical line. The one that looks like a person with a graduation cap shows a list of all mentors. Select their portrait to track them.
The price jumps steeply after the first expansion:
First expansion: 2,000 Coins.
Second expansion: 15,000 Coins.
Third expansion: 30,000 Coins.
Fourth expansion onwards: Not yet confirmed.
You can expand Hopeland a total of eight times. After that, there are three more plots of land elsewhere on the island. Those come much later in the game and have their own unlock requirements.
