The Electric Drill is an advanced mining tool in Starsand Island that replaces standard pickaxes for ore gathering. It mines significantly faster than manual pickaxes and is one of the most impactful tool upgrades in the Crafter profession. The Electric Drill Blueprint is purchased from Zerine's General Store after reaching Senior Crafter certification.
Complete the Senior Crafter trial quests from Zerine to unlock the Electric Drill Blueprint at the General Store. The Senior Crafter tier is the fourth of five profession levels, so you will need significant progression through the Crafter skill tree before accessing this tool.
The Electric Drill works similarly to a pickaxe but operates much faster. Walk up to an ore node in the Moonlit Forest or surface mining spots and activate the drill. It breaks ore nodes in fewer hits and with faster animation than any pickaxe tier. The drill consumes stamina per use, similar to other tools.
The March 6, 2026 patch (v0.3.2537) added stamina recovery-related skill effects to the Electric Drill. This means that profession skills from the Explorer skill tree now interact with the Electric Drill, allowing partial stamina recovery during extended mining sessions. Before this patch, the Electric Drill's high speed meant faster stamina depletion. The skill integration addresses this by returning stamina proportional to your Explorer skill investment.
This change makes the Electric Drill significantly more sustainable for long mining trips in the Moonlit Forest, especially in deeper zones like Darkwater Shore and Harvest Yard where ore density is high.

Invest in Explorer profession skills for stamina recovery before relying heavily on the Electric Drill. The skill synergy makes extended mining sessions much more efficient.
The Electric Drill is one of the strongest reasons to push for Senior Crafter certification. Prioritize it if mining is a regular part of your routine.
Bring stamina food on mining trips even with the stamina recovery skills. The recovery offsets but does not fully eliminate stamina drain.
Pair the Electric Drill with a Robot Terminal and Mining Robots for a combined manual and automated mining setup in the Moonlit Forest.
