Starsand Island launched into Early Access on February 11, 2026 with several DLC packs available from day one. All current DLC is purely cosmetic — furniture, outfits, hairstyles, and a novelty vehicle. No DLC provides gameplay advantages or access to additional game mechanics. The game also features free crossover content with the My Time at Portia and My Time at Sandrock series.
This free DLC was included with the Early Access launch as a day-one bonus.
Price: Free.
Contents: Traditional Chinese New Year Furniture Set with ornate latticework, elegant furnishings, and rich decorative details. Also includes the Neo-Chinese Outfit inspired by festive traditions with ink-wash landscapes and vibrant Chinese New Year symbols.
How to claim:
Activate the DLC on Steam or Xbox.
Complete the main story quest "Return to the Cabin in the Woods."
Accept the quest "Claim the Chinese New Year Furniture & Fashion DLC Reward."
Visit the self-service terminal at the Starsand Island Community Center.
The premium cosmetic DLC, also available from day one.
Price: Approximately $15 USD.
Furniture: Classical Furniture Set — approximately 8–9 pieces with intricate details and a sophisticated color scheme.
Outfits: Elegant Formal Outfit — 2 outfits (1 male, 1 female) with classic silhouettes and a dreamy color palette. Also includes multiple hairstyles accessible via the Makeup menu.
Vehicle: Pumpkin Carriage — a fairy-tale themed vehicle for traveling around the island.
Claimed the same way as the Chinese New Year DLC: activate, complete the tutorial quest, then pick up items from the Community Center.
A free cosmetic pack released shortly after launch as a thank-you from developer Seed Sparkle Lab. Steam-exclusive — not available on Xbox or Game Pass.
Contents: Yellow Swimsuit Outfit Set (male and female) and Pink Frog Pajama Outfit Set (male and female) — 4 cosmetic items total.
Claim it from the Starsand Island store page on Steam under the "Content for This Game" section.
A collaboration between Seed Sparkle Lab and Pathea Games (developer of My Time at Portia and My Time at Sandrock, and also Starsand Island's publisher). This content is free and integrated into the base game — no separate DLC purchase required.
Gust (from My Time at Portia) — Portia's gentleman architect. Found studying architecture or enjoying sunsets near the beach. Original English voice actor DJ Horn returns.
Ginger (from My Time at Portia) — Gust's gentle sister who appreciates nature. Enjoys reading on the grass and watching the ocean. Original English voice actress Ariel Marie Highwind returns.
Fang (from My Time at Sandrock) — A medicinal herb gatherer and clinic worker.
Nia (from My Time at Sandrock) — A childhood friend character.
All four characters appear as regular interactable residents. Players can explore unique storylines and build friendship up to 4 hearts. These characters are not romanceable — they function as special neighbors. New Japanese voice performances were recorded alongside the returning English voice actors.
