Overview
Exploration is the standing open-world layer of Silver Palace, separate from the cases that drive the story. Moving through Silvernia turns up encounters both friendly and hostile, and each quarter of the city tracks its own exploration progress, filled by finding and clearing the content placed in it.
Almost everything documented here comes from the second closed beta build, which opened districts that had been closed off in the first test. Content of this kind is routinely added to and retuned between builds, so treat the categories as the shape of the system rather than as a final list.
Movement through the city is parkour by default, with the mount and ziplines available on top of it. That is the game team's own summary of the layer, and every tool below is one of those three.

Core Tools
Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
Silver-Kinesis | Draws objects toward the Detective from a distance. Its everyday use is opening chests, and it is also the input for the puzzles that require moving objects into position rather than simply collecting them. |
The winged Silverium mount, usable on the ground and in the air. It enters flight from launchpads placed around the city, or by jumping from a high point and calling it during the fall. Some locations are laid out with the mount in mind and are impractical to reach without it. | |
Suspicious activity | A red marker that bulges toward an enemy hiding in plain sight. Holding the inspect input on the flagged figure exposes it and starts a fight. This is the open-world face of the alert that flags enemies in disguise. |

Points of Interest
Points of interest are placed across most areas. Some appear on the map and some do not, and clearing them is what fills a quarter's exploration progress.
Borough Blitz
Combat set-pieces against a group of enemies, documented in three shapes:
Contamination Clearance, entering an area and defeating everything in it.
Hostage Extraction, defeating kidnappers and freeing caged citizens.
Zone Investigation, a longer fight across a larger area.
Cognito Pins
Cognito Pins are mental markers inside the Detective's Mindpalace, anchored to specific real locations in the city. Approaching one activates it. Once a pin has been activated, approaching any Cognito Pin fully restores the health of every character in the party, which makes the network the open world's rest-point system as well as a record of where the Detective has stopped to think. Unlocking a specific quarter's pin is used as a progression objective on the city's own record track. The mechanic is covered from the deduction side on Investigation System.
Perilous Personage
High-difficulty encounters aimed at players who have already built out a party. They function as the open world's optional challenge content, in the way that Deep Cognito functions as its menu-driven equivalent.
Casual Commissions
Smaller jobs found in an area rather than accepted from a board, sitting alongside the formal quest categories covered on Commissions.
Lost Packages
Deliveries fitted with autonomous self-delivery technology that have a habit of losing their way. Recovering one and returning it is a small errand that doubles as a joke about the city's enthusiasm for putting Silverium machinery into things that did not need it.
Mini Enigmas
Mini Enigmas are the environmental puzzles scattered through Silvernia. Several of them are built directly on Silver-Kinesis, and several use the city's own Silverium infrastructure as their subject matter:
Puzzle | What it asks for |
|---|---|
Streetscape Recreation | Place objects in the positions shown in a reference photograph, moving them with Silver-Kinesis. |
The Challenger's Lockbox | Work out a four-digit combination from clues left nearby, then open the safe. |
Lighting Recalibration | Fix a faulty light by controlling a light source and a Fresnel Reactor. |
Spinotrode Reactivation | Capture nearby Voltacells and place them into Spinotrodes in a specified order. |
Voltacell Containment | Track a Voltacell along its path and capture it once it tires. |
Wallborne Maze | Move a ball from one point to another with Silver-Kinesis while avoiding obstacles. |
Grid Shutdown | Disable electric fences and unlock chests by placing Electrified Cores correctly. |
Ruins Restoration | Repair historic sites by returning missing pieces to their original places with Silver-Kinesis. |
The Fresnel Reactor, the Voltacells and the Electrified Cores are all consistent with the setting's stated power model, in which Silverium does nothing useful until it is channelled through a Reactor. The puzzles are the player handling that infrastructure directly rather than reading about it.
Time of Day and Weather
Silvernia runs a time-of-day cycle and a weather system. Both were named by the game's team as areas under active improvement, alongside NPC behaviour and the number of interiors a player can walk into. In the demo build shown in August 2026, rain falls over the city after the first boss fight, water pools on the ground and the wet surfaces reflect the scene above them.
Neither system has a published rule set: there is no stated day length, no weather table and no confirmation that either one gates content. What is documented is that both exist in the current build and that the team is still working on them.
Exploration Progress
Completing points of interest contributes to a per-area exploration progress figure. That figure is itself an objective elsewhere: the second closed beta's guided objective track asked players to push exploration progress in specific quarters alongside raising character trust, giving gifts and buying property, and the daily list on City Roaming pays out for opening chests and collecting gatherables found while exploring.
