Romestead is in Early Access, which means it is actively being developed with player feedback. The developer has described an approach focused on listening to the community before committing to a long-term plan.
Post-Launch Approach
After launch, the team prioritized hotfixing immediate issues, then aimed to establish a steady patch schedule. The developer chose not to publish a rigid roadmap right away, preferring to digest initial player feedback first and then share a longer-term plan. They have mentioned internal plans for future progression biomes, building tiers, gear, and bosses, but these are not part of the current build.
Early Hotfixes
In the days following launch, the developer released hotfixes addressing bugs and crashes. Reported fixes in early hotfixes included resolving unenterable dungeons, fixing issues with falling through dungeon floors, addressing soft-locking inside a dungeon, and various crash fixes, alongside general and localization updates.
Feedback Channels
The developer is active in its community channels and monitors the game's official discussion board, which has categories for bugs, feedback, and suggestions. The team has credited community feedback for shaping many of the game's features, both during the demo and into Early Access. See Early Access for the launch-day feature set.
Localization
Romestead supports several languages. Full audio support is provided for English, while additional languages are supported through interface and subtitle translations, including Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, German, French, Spanish, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, and Korean. The developer has also invited the community to contribute to translations.
