Worship of the Roman gods is a progression system that runs alongside crafting. After the fall of Rome, the gods lost most of their worshippers and, in turn, their powers and connection to the world. Restoring that connection is one of the main ways a player or group grows stronger.
Offerings and Sacrifices
Players make offerings and sacrifices to restore the gods. Doing so reconnects a deity to the world and, in a co-op group, players choose together which gods to restore to glory. Each god has its own set of buffs and technology that unlock as it is restored. The worship system received a balance pass for Early Access as part of a broader rework of progression. See Crafting and Progression for how this fits with the building tiers.

What the Gods Provide
Technologies that become available as a god is restored.
Buffs that strengthen the player or group.
Upgrades tied to each individual god.
Talents earned in the form of favors with the gods, used alongside leveling skills.
Choosing Your Gods
Because each god offers a different set of buffs and technologies, players and groups decide which deities to prioritize. This choice shapes how a settlement and its people develop. The goddess Minerva is referenced in the game as one of the gods whose call players answer when rebuilding Rome. Worship complements the Crafting and Progression tree rather than replacing it: crafting is not the only way to get stronger.
Note: the full roster of restorable gods and the precise costs of offerings and sacrifices are part of the in-game experience and are expanding during Early Access; this page describes only the confirmed framework.
