Pre-Closed-Beta Era
The pre-closed-beta era covers the announcement trailer through the cross-platform showcase. During this window the studio established the loop premise, the duo combat structure, and the dice-rolled dialogue-system as the three pillars of the game. Pre-registration channels were brought online during the late phase of this era.
Closed-Beta Era
The closed-beta era covers three distinct windows: a small Technical Test (March 27 to March 29, 2026), the open recruitment window for the broader 一周目测试 (March 30 to April 14, 2026), and the actual First Playthrough Test (一周目测试) play window from April 28 to May 1, 2026. The 一周目测试 is the first build the public has played at scale and is the canonical record of what was actually tested. See closed-beta for the full breakdown. Beta-build numbers (sequence caps, party limits, dice difficulty values, monetization placeholders) should be treated as 一周目测试 build behavior rather than as final values. The studio has been explicit in pre-launch communication that beta numbers will move.
Pre-Registration Era
Pre-registration is the bridge between the closed beta and broader access. The CN track has Android pre-registration on the Bilibili Android storefront and on the Chinese mobile-storefront listing. The global track has a global mobile-storefront pre-registration page; iOS-side global pre-registration has not yet appeared. See pre-registration for the full pre-registration breakdown.
Pre-Launch Plans
Saroasis Studios has signaled but not dated:
An additional CN-track closed or open test, expected to expand the platform mix beyond PC.
A CN-track open beta or early access window, broader than the invite-only 一周目测试 model.
A global beta or limited test event, with a window that has not been published.
A worldwide commercial launch on PC, Android, and iOS, with no specific date.
None of the four are firm dates. Anything stated about the timeline as a year, month, or quarter should be treated as expectation-setting unless the studio publishes a date directly.
Post-Launch Outlook
Live-service post-launch operations are expected, in line with comparable projects in the studio's adjacent portfolio. The exact post-launch cadence (six-week patches, eight-week character arcs, season-style story drops) has not been disclosed. The monetization article tracks what is publicly known about the long-term commercial model.
What Has Not Been Announced
A specific worldwide release date.
Console platforms beyond PC, Android, and iOS.
A region-specific physical edition.
Cross-save policies between tracks (see cn-vs-global).
English voice-over support beyond English subtitles (see localization-and-languages).
A schedule for any further closed or open tests on either the CN or global tracks.
Whether the next public test will include a mobile client (Android or iOS) in addition to PC.
Whether the cosmetic or progression rewards from the 一周目测试 will carry across to either the next test or the live launch.
This article will be updated when each item moves from undisclosed to confirmed.
Phase Naming and Cross-Reference
Several names for the same test arc travel between English and Chinese coverage. The canonical Saroasis Studios naming uses the Chinese phase names; English-track aggregators sometimes use the umbrella label "Crimson Test" for the whole arc. This wiki uses the canonical Chinese phase names with English glosses on first mention:
English (aggregator) | Canonical Chinese | Pinyin gloss | What it refers to here |
|---|---|---|---|
Technical Test | 技术性测试 | Jìshùxìng cèshì | The small closed pre-test on March 27 to 29, 2026 |
First Playthrough Test | 一周目测试 | Yī zhōumù cèshì | The broader public test play window on April 28 to May 1, 2026 |
"Crimson Test" / 首测 | 首测 | Shǒucè | Umbrella label used by some marketing and aggregator coverage for the recruitment-and-test arc; this wiki uses 一周目测试 for the actual play window and Technical Test for the earlier closed pre-test |
When a future English-track aggregator article uses one of these labels, this table is the cross-reference between them.
How Roadmap Items Are Confirmed Here
A milestone enters the "Confirmed Milestones to Date" table above only when Saroasis Studios has publicly named it, dated it, and described its scope through one of the official channels: the studio's Chinese-language site, the official YouTube channel, the official Bilibili channel, the official Weibo and X accounts, or a CN mobile-storefront announcement page tied to the studio. Coverage on third-party aggregators is treated as cross-reference for dates and names but does not, on its own, advance an item from "signaled" to "confirmed." This is a deliberately conservative bar for a pre-launch live-service title; it is the only way to keep the roadmap from filling with retracted dates.
