Ultra Rank
April 25, 2026 at 03:27 PM
Initial article for the Ultra Rank trainer tier.
Ultra Rank is the third Trainer Rank tier in Pokemon Pokopia, reached by completing two Important Requests: "Brighten Things Up" in Bleak Beach and "Time to Party!" in Rocky Ridges. Reaching Ultra Rank opens the area gates leading to Sparkling Skylands, the floating-island endgame region.
Rank Position | Tier |
|---|---|
1 | No Rank (Beginner) |
2 | Great Rank |
3 (this rank) | Ultra Rank |
4 | Master Rank |
Ultra Rank requires completing both regional Important Requests, in either order. Each quest concludes with a Legendary Pokemon encounter that triggers part of the rank progression.
Bleak Beach starts in perpetual darkness. The Brighten Things Up quest revolves around restoring electricity to the area: building windmills, connecting power lines, lighting streetlights, and rebuilding the Bleak Beach Pokemon Center. The story climax features the Legendary Pokemon Volcanion, whose appearance is part of restoring the area's brightness to acceptable levels.
Rocky Ridges is buried under volcanic ash and quiet. The Time to Party! quest is about lifting the area's mood through cooking, music, and celebration. Players free DJ Rotom from the cave, befriend Chef Dente, and host a party that culminates with the Legendary Pokemon Raikou arriving as the headline guest.
Sparkling Skylands access: Both area gates leading to Sparkling Skylands open, granting access to the final main story region.
Glide ability access: In Sparkling Skylands you can befriend Dragonite to learn the Glide move, required for traversing the floating islands.
Late-game content: Endgame habitats, recipes, and Pokemon become reachable. Tinkmaster is unlocked here as the Engineer-specialty NPC.
The two quests can be completed in either order. Most players choose Bleak Beach first because the lighting fix opens the area visibly; Rocky Ridges is sometimes saved for second because the party-building demands more cooking infrastructure.
Build the Pokemon Center in each region before pursuing the Important Request. The Center's services make the long quest grinds easier.
Bring electricity-generating Pokemon (Pikachu, Magnemite, etc.) for Brighten Things Up. They speed up the windmill-and-power-line stages.
For Time to Party!, gather cooking ingredients and crafting materials in advance. The party requires party platters, music CDs, and decorations.
