Character appearance in Pokemon Pokopia can be customized at character creation and changed at any time using a Mirror. Ditto's human form supports up to 14 hairstyles, 28 hair colors, and 10 skin tones. Seven hairstyles are available from the start, while the remaining hairstyles are unlocked by finding Human Records hidden throughout the game world and on Dream Islands. All hairstyles feature subtle drip effects reflecting Ditto's gloopy nature.
These 7 hairstyles are available from the start of the game and can be selected during character creation or changed at any Mirror:

Hairstyle | Description |
|---|---|
Short | Cropped short hairstyle |
Pigtails | Two tied pigtails |
Buns | Hair styled in buns |
Two-Block Cut | Undercut with longer top |
Braided Pigtails | Two braided pigtails |
Locs | Dreadlock-style hair |
Shaved | Very short buzz cut |
These hairstyles are found at specific, fixed locations by collecting Human Records. Human Records are letters, documents, magazines, and photos left behind by the former human inhabitants of Pokopia.

|---|---|---|---|
Parted | "This Year's Top Trend!" | Clifftop ledge near windmill, Withered Wasteland | Trendy magazine style |

Additional hairstyles can be found randomly inside caves at Dream Island mountain bases. These Human Records spawn randomly when you visit Dream Islands using a Poke Doll, so you may need to visit multiple times before finding a specific one.

There are 10 skin tone options available from the start: a Default option plus Skin Color 1 through 9. These can be changed at any time using a Mirror. All skin tones are purely cosmetic and have no effect on gameplay.
At the beginning of the game, Ditto has access to:
2 tops, 2 pants, 2 headwear, and 2 bags, each available in 8 color variants (Black, Blue, Purple, Yellow, Green, Red, Pink, Cyan)
Familiar Sneakers in 8 colors
Additional outfits are unlocked by finding Human Records throughout the game world. For full outfit details, see Outfits and Customization.
Outfit sets are unlocked through Human Records found in specific locations or randomly on Dream Islands. Each set typically includes a matching top, pants, and shoes.

All previously unlocked hairstyles, colors, and outfits are available at any Mirror. Changes are instant and free. You can switch as often as you like.
Mirrors can be found in some existing structures around the world, not just purchased. Check abandoned buildings for pre-placed Mirrors.
If you are looking for Dream Island hairstyles or outfits, bring multiple Poke Dolls and visit Dream Islands repeatedly. The Human Records inside caves are randomized each visit.
Hairstyle unlocks are permanent. Once you find a Human Record, the hairstyle or outfit is added to your collection forever.
The drip effects on hairstyles are a cosmetic detail that references Ditto's natural gelatinous form. They do not affect gameplay.
