Bellossom is a Grass-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia, classified as the Flower Pokemon (Dex #016). Plentiful in the tropics, Bellossom dances with its petals rubbing together to produce a pleasant ringing sound. It is one of two possible final evolutions for the Oddish line, carrying both the Grow and Hype specialties. Unlike its counterpart Vileplume, Bellossom drops its Poison typing entirely and gains the ability to dance and boost area mood.
Bellossom can be found in the following habitat:
Habitat | Requirements | Other Pokemon | Rarity |
|---|---|---|---|
Chansey Resting Area build requirements | Rare |
The Chansey Resting Area (#034) is where Bellossom appears as a Rare Pokemon. This habitat is shared with Chansey and Vileplume, giving you a chance at multiple valuable Pokemon from a single habitat build.
Bellossom is found in Withered Wasteland. Despite being a Generation 2 Pokemon, it shares a habitat with Generation 1 Pokemon like Chansey and Vileplume in the starting region.
Build the Chansey Resting Area habitat and wait for Bellossom to appear. As a Rare spawn, it may take multiple attempts. Once it appears, interact with it and complete its befriending request. Making the habitat environment bright (Bellossom's ideal) may improve your chances.
Bellossom has two specialties: Grow and Hype. Grow accelerates the growth of nearby plants, crops, flowers, and trees, just like the rest of the Oddish line. Hype is a social specialty where Bellossom dances to Music CDs and improves the area's mood and atmosphere. Place a CD Player near Bellossom to activate the Hype effect, which can boost comfort and happiness for other Pokemon in the area.

Unlike the rest of the Oddish evolution line, Bellossom prefers a bright environment rather than a humid one. Add lighting, use the Brightness System to increase illumination, and surround the habitat with play spaces and cute, noisy items to match Bellossom's unique preferences. Its sour flavor preference also differs from the bitter and dry flavors preferred by Oddish, Gloom, and Vileplume.
Bellossom is one of two final evolutions in the Oddish line. The chain goes: Oddish -> Gloom -> Bellossom. The alternative final evolution is Vileplume, which keeps the Poison typing and gains Litter instead of Hype.

Bellossom's Hype specialty works best when a CD Player with a Music CD is placed nearby. The dancing effect boosts the mood for all Pokemon in the area.
If you need passive material drops, choose Vileplume instead. If you want mood-boosting and entertainment, Bellossom is the better pick.
Bellossom needs a bright environment, which is different from the humid preference of Oddish, Gloom, and Vileplume. Adjust your habitat decorations accordingly.
Place cute and noisy toys around Bellossom's habitat. Its unique taste for play spaces and noisy stuff sets it apart from most Grass-type Pokemon.
