Sasha is the first baby Parafolk ever revealed for Paralives. She was introduced on August 29, 2024, as the lifestage exemplar for the Baby stage. Her reveal proved that the launch build includes a working Baby tier in the broader Lifestages ladder, distinct from the Child stage demonstrated by Eli. Sasha is expected to ship as a premade Parafolk in the household lineup at the May 25, 2026 Early Access launch.
As a baby, Sasha is fully dependent on adult Parafolk for care. Her daily existence is built around the Needs System, routine caretaker interactions, and the early-life animations that her stage uses. Her presence in any save acts as a clear illustration of how the launch build treats the youngest stage of a Parafolk's life.

Sasha's reveal in August 2024 was the first time the public saw the Baby stage in Paralives. The studio has confirmed several distinct Lifestages stages, including Baby (Sasha), Toddler, Child (Eli), Preteen, Teenager, Young Adult, Adult, and Elder. Sasha's reveal showed that the Baby stage is not a smaller version of the Child stage; it has its own dedicated body proportions, animation set, and gameplay loop. The launch build is expected to include all of these stages on Day 1.
Baby Parafolk like Sasha operate under a much more restricted gameplay framework than older stages. Most needs decay quickly and must be managed actively by adult Parafolk. Babies cannot walk on their own, cannot attend school or work, and cannot perform skill-based actions. Sasha is the canonical reference for how the Baby stage feels in moment-to-moment gameplay.
Sasha's reveal helped confirm that the Pregnancy and Birth system in the launch build ends in a real Baby-stage Parafolk rather than skipping straight to a toddler or child. The launch build's pregnancy mechanic is confirmed to deliver into the Baby stage, which then ages over time into Toddler, Child, Preteen, Teenager, Young Adult, Adult, and Elder along the standard aging cycle.
The Genetics System applies at birth. Babies born in-game inherit hair-texture alleles, skin colors, eye colors, and other genetic traits from their parents according to the launch dominance hierarchy. Sasha herself was designed as a premade character rather than born in-game, but the systems that produced her appearance are the same ones that govern in-save pregnancies.
Babies in Paralives need consistent active care. The launch build uses the Needs System for hunger, hygiene, sleep, and affection, and a baby's needs drop faster than those of older Parafolk. Adult caregivers in the household must feed, change, soothe, and rock the baby through the day. Sasha's showcases demonstrate the full set of confirmed baby-care interactions.
Baby-care also intersects with the Emotions system. A happy, well-rested baby generates positive household mood. A neglected baby triggers urgent negative emotions across the household, which can cascade into stress-related Vibes for the adults. Players who add a baby to a household, whether through pregnancy or by importing Sasha as a premade, take on a meaningful daily care load.
Babies eventually age into the Child stage. The transition is part of the standard Lifestages progression, so a Sasha who is placed in a household at launch will, over time, age out of the Baby stage and become a Child like Eli. Players who want to keep Sasha at the Baby stage indefinitely can use the in-game cheat tools or modding hooks to pause aging; see Cheats for details.
Aging is confirmed Day 1, alongside death and the rest of the lifestage cycle. The aging cadence is tied to in-game days rather than real time. Each lifestage has its own duration, and the studio has confirmed that the Baby stage is shorter than later stages because the system is built to keep care intensive but time-bounded.
Sasha is one of the strongest cross-system anchors in the launch build. She appears in showcases for Lifestages, Pregnancy and Birth, and the Needs System. She is often shown alongside Eli, Maggie, Sebastian, and other premade Parafolk in family showcases. Newspaper headlines about parenting milestones in The New Paper occasionally reference baby-stage events, and goals that surface for new-parent Parafolk in the launch build often align with the kinds of care Sasha needs.
Sasha is confirmed as a premade Parafolk in the May 25, 2026 Early Access launch lineup. The Baby lifestage, the dedicated care interactions, the inheritance hooks via the genetics system, and the standard aging transition into the Child stage are all part of the Day 1 build. Future free updates during the approximately two-year Early Access window may expand baby gameplay with additional interactions, accessories, and care animations, but those additions are listed as post-launch in the Roadmap and Planned Features.
Sasha's specific premade family ties, her unique trait assignments, and dedicated voice cues have not been publicly confirmed at this time. Anything beyond her confirmed role as the Baby stage exemplar should be treated as speculative until a future studio post fills in the gaps.
