Overview
Vortail is a starter Animon in LumenTale: Memories of Trey, recorded as Animon No. 005. It is an Aura Type of the Mestus Attribute, one of the creatures you can choose at the beginning of your adventure. Vortail is described as a creature so sensitive and fragile that it always floats in the air rather than touching the ground. Its thick fur is very light and allows it to float, but when Vortail is very sad, the fur on its cheeks becomes heavy and damp, making it look like it is shedding big tears.

About
As a Mestus Animon, Vortail is tied to sorrow and grief, an attribute typically shown in blue. Its Aura typing connects it to light, wind, and benevolent forces. The creature is sensitive and fragile, often floating in the air, and it leans into the somber, contemplative tone the developers attach to the Mestus Attribute. On a starter team it brings the Aura type, which the game pairs with overworld Holoken abilities for moving and powering specific obstacles. Two players who pick Vortail can reach different final-stage forms depending on whether their adventure leans toward Logos or Mythos in the regional split.
Type and Weaknesses
Vortail is an Aura Type Animon. LumenTale reveals each Animon's weaknesses and resistances through scanning rather than a single fixed chart. As an Aura type, Vortail takes the general weaknesses and resistances of its type, so see Type Effectiveness Explained for the full matchup breakdown.
Attribute
Vortail has the Mestus Attribute. Its effect: this Animon uses a percentage of its HP to deal additional damage.
Evolution Line
Vortail evolves into Furtex, which keeps the Aura type and the Mestus attribute, and then branches at level 40 depending on the emblem item used. The region you align with, Mythos or Logos, shapes which final form you reach.
