Underwater Exploration

Initial version
Underwater exploration is one of the highlight features of the Island Getaway DLC, available in Cahaya. Zois can swim through crystal-clear tropical waters, discover coral reefs, encounter marine wildlife, and explore submerged temples containing treasure. A sufficiently high Swimming skill is required to access deeper waters and longer dive sessions.
Before diving into Cahaya's waters, your Zoi needs to build up their swimming ability. Practice water exercises at local pools or in shallow coastal areas to increase your Swimming skill. Snorkeling gear must be purchased from local shops before you can explore underwater.
Travel to Cahaya through the travel system
Build Swimming skill through water exercises in shallow areas or pools
Purchase snorkeling gear from local shops
Head to designated diving spots marked on the map
Different areas of Cahaya's waters host different marine life. The map marks various zones where you can encounter specific creatures.
Creature | Behavior | Danger Level |
|---|---|---|
Fish (various species) | Swim around coral reefs | None |
Sea Turtles | Found in marked turtle zones | None |
Dolphins | Found in deeper waters | None |
Sharks | Patrol certain deep areas | Dangerous |
Jellyfish | Drift through specific zones | Dangerous |
Submerged temples can be found beneath Cahaya's waters, hidden between the main island and the deserted island. These ancient structures contain treasure that can be collected. Reaching them requires strong swimming skills and sufficient air supply to complete the exploration.
Six types of boats can be rented in Cahaya. Your Zoi can sail to deeper waters and dive off the boat to reach underwater areas that are too far to swim to from shore. Fishing from boats is also possible with the right equipment.
Build your Swimming skill before attempting deep dives. Low skill means short dive times.
Avoid areas marked with sharks or jellyfish until you are comfortable with underwater navigation.
Rent a boat to reach more remote dive sites and underwater temples.
Snorkeling near coral reefs is the safest way to start exploring and is available at lower Swimming levels.
The underwater temple treasure can provide valuable items worth selling.
