Major expansion with education levels, homework details, and university info
inZOI has four levels of education, each tied to a specific life stage:
Elementary School — for children, runs 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, five days a week.
Middle School — for adolescents, runs 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, five days a week.
High School — for teenagers, runs 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, five days a week.
University — for young adults, runs 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, three days a week.
Schools are "rabbit holes." Students disappear into the building when school starts and come home when the day is done. There's no interactive classroom gameplay. Children and teenagers are automatically enrolled and attend on weekdays.
While a Zoi is at school, a button appears next to their portrait. Clicking it lets you choose specific actions for the student to focus on during the school day, which can boost certain skills. Random events can also pop up while students are in school, presenting scenarios where you pick how the Zoi responds. These choices affect mood, relationships, and skill progress.
After school hours end, a task list appears on the left side of the screen. These tasks need to be finished before the day ends. Completed tasks get checked off the list.
Homework comes in two forms:
Reading assignments — the student needs to find and read a specific book. Some assignments require visiting the public library. Make sure to pick the correct book level (beginner, intermediate, or advanced) that matches the assignment.
Computer-based work — research or coding tasks done through the "Homework" tab on a computer. Select the right homework option from the tab to complete it.
Dowon has Youngsung Elementary School and Youngsung High School. Bliss Bay has Bliss Bay Elementary School and Bliss Bay High School. Both cities have middle schools as well.
Young adults can attend either Bliss Bay University or University of Youngsung. University offers three majors: Business Administration, Computer Science, and Multimedia Arts. University students only attend three days a week and get homework similar to younger students, but with more freedom in their schedules.
The development team has mentioned in Discord AMAs that a more immersive school system is being considered. The 2026 roadmap lists "Children / School / Education" as a development category, and Q1 2026 includes high school properties.
