The current Early Access build of Huaxia: Warring States has twenty Steam achievements. The list spans the major activity bands the game wants the player to try: clan founding, conquest, infiltration, and the longer-form exploration loops around secret realms and Nine Cauldrons fragments. The achievements unlock through normal play rather than through dedicated grind, so most players see at least a handful by the end of a first campaign.
Twenty Achievements
Steam shows the count clearly on the store page. Specific achievement icons are visible there, but a complete public list with internal descriptions has not been published. The wiki tracks the achievements that have been confirmed by patch notes, player reports, or the in-game achievements panel; new ones will be added here as they become verifiable.
Confirmed Achievements
These achievements are confirmed by name and rough completion conditions:
Achievement | How to Unlock | ||
|---|---|---|---|
Infiltrate the City | Successfully infiltrate a rival prefecture using disguise. The check that decides whether this triggers correctly was fixed in a recent update; the achievement now reliably awards on a clean infiltration. See | for the mechanic. |
Achievement Categories
Across player reports and patch references, the achievements appear to cluster into a few categories. The exact set will evolve during Early Access; the categories below are stable enough to track over time:
Founding and Growth: create a clan, build a homestead, recruit retainers, expand to multiple prefectures. Aimed at the empire-building side of the game.
Combat and Sieges: win field battles, conduct successful siege assaults, defeat named bandit chiefs. Pairs with the combat system and siege battles pages.
Infiltration and Politics: disguise-based achievements such as Infiltrate the City, plus broader diplomacy milestones. See infiltration and disguise and diplomacy.
Exploration and Collection: discover secret realms, collect Nine Cauldrons fragments, find named martial-arts manuals. The wandering side of the game.
Path and Style: some achievements track the play style itself. Choosing the wandering warrior path deeply, mastering a school of thought, or completing an Ambition quest line all count as path markers.
Hidden vs Visible
Several achievements appear in the Steam list with locked descriptions, suggesting they unlock through later or branching content. Players are advised not to chase these aggressively. The Early Access roadmap continues to add quests and systems, and an achievement that looks unreachable in the current build may simply be tied to a content layer that has not yet been released.
Known Fixes
Several achievement-related bugs have been fixed since launch. The most prominent example is the Infiltrate the City achievement, which previously failed to award even on a successful infiltration. The fix shipped in the May 11 patch alongside broader infiltration and crime-system adjustments. Players who completed the relevant action before the fix should be credited on the next attempt rather than retroactively.
Tips
Do not chase achievements at the cost of natural progression. The list rewards the activities the game already wants you to try.
If an achievement does not award after meeting a known condition, check the patch notes. Several were buggy in the launch window and have been fixed since.
Save before attempting a difficult one (a hard infiltration, a late-game siege, a named-master duel). Reloading is a fair tool here.
