Overview
Guan Yu is a Fighter hero in Honor of Kings: World. He is one of three Fighter-class heroes alongside Lu Bu and Zhao Yun. Guan Yu wields the legendary Green Dragon Crescent Blade (also known as the Soaring Green Dragon) and fights with a momentum-based combat style centered on his Charge Stance. The longer he moves without stopping, the more powerful his attacks become.

Lore
Guan Yu is one of the most revered warriors in the history of Primaera. A symbol of loyalty and martial prowess, he earned the Green Dragon Crescent Blade in a battle with ancient Feralis beasts. His fighting style is inseparable from movement: Guan Yu believes that a warrior who stands still has already lost. On horseback, he becomes a devastating cavalry force capable of disrupting entire enemy formations.
Combat Style
Guan Yu's combat revolves around the Charge Stance mechanic. As Guan Yu moves continuously, he accumulates a movement speed bonus. Once he has traveled a certain distance, he enters the Charge Stance, which enhances all of his basic attacks and abilities. In this state, his basic attacks knock back enemies and deal bonus physical damage that scales with his maximum HP.
The Charge Stance makes Guan Yu's ideal playstyle one of constant motion. In the open world, he benefits from long approach runs before engaging enemies. In the MOBA, he excels at flanking during team fights; this same principle applies in the RPG, where circling around enemy camps to build Charge before diving in maximizes his damage.

Mounted Combat
The Green Dragon Crescent Blade on horseback is one of Guan Yu's defining images. His ultimate, Razor Cavalry, transforms him into a mounted warrior who charges in a straight line, scattering enemies with sweeping blade strikes. This ability is particularly effective in the open-world context, where Guan Yu can build maximum Charge Stance momentum across open terrain before crashing into an enemy camp.
Tips
Never stand still as Guan Yu. His entire kit rewards constant movement. Circle the edges of enemy groups to build Charge before committing to the fight.
Razor Cavalry is excellent for engaging distant enemies or escaping dangerous situations. The mounted speed lets you disengage and rebuild momentum.
Build max HP in your gear alongside physical attack. Guan Yu's Charge Stance basic attacks scale with max HP, making tank-damage hybrid builds effective.
In co-op, Guan Yu works as a disruptor. Charge through the enemy formation to scatter them, then let ranged allies like Hou Yi or Marco Polo pick off isolated targets.
