Lore
Diao Chan is one of the most legendary figures in the mythology of Primaera. Known for her beauty and cunning, she used deception to bring down tyrants in ancient history. In Honor of Kings: World, her illusion powers manifest as tangible flower magic: she creates phantom images of herself, vanishes and reappears across the battlefield, and surrounds enemies in blossoming arrays of destructive petals.
Combat Style
Diao Chan is a high-risk, high-reward mage who relies on precise positioning and ability sequencing. Her skills each apply Flower Marks to enemies, and when four marks accumulate on a single target, they detonate for true damage and a powerful slow. This stacking mechanic makes her exceptionally strong against individual targets and bosses, where she can consistently apply marks.
Abilities
Ability | Description |
|---|---|
Explosion of Fragrance (Passive) | Each of Diao Chan's skill hits stacks a Flower Mark on the enemy. At four stacks, the mark detonates, dealing true damage to surrounding enemies, slowing them, and restoring a portion of Diao Chan's health. This passive is her primary sustain and damage mechanic. |
Returning Lotus | Diao Chan flings a flower ball in a target direction. After reaching maximum distance, the ball returns to her, dealing magic damage to enemies along both the outgoing and return paths. Hitting enemies twice with one cast applies two Flower Marks. |
Petals in the Wind | Diao Chan vanishes and reappears at a designated position, scattering three flower balls that attack nearby enemies. This is both a repositioning tool and an AoE damage source. |
Flowery Potential (Ultimate) | Diao Chan creates a magical array on the ground, dealing damage when it appears and again when it disappears. While standing inside the array, her other abilities receive cooldown reduction, enabling rapid ability cycling and faster Flower Mark stacking. |
Tips
Diao Chan's combo revolves around stacking four Flower Marks as quickly as possible. Use Returning Lotus (two marks on hit-and-return), then Petals in the Wind (mark from each flower ball) to detonate the passive.
Place Flowery Potential on your own position before starting a combo. The cooldown reduction lets you cycle abilities faster and stack marks in rapid succession.
Petals in the Wind is your escape tool. Save it for repositioning when enemies close in, rather than using it purely for damage.
Diao Chan is fragile. In co-op encounters, stay near your team's support and rely on the passive health restoration from Flower Mark detonations for sustain.
Against bosses, Diao Chan's true damage from detonated marks bypasses defense, making her a strong choice for high-defense encounters.
