The Cult's Recipe is Dexter's Chapter 1 recommendation quest. After Casting Shadows begins, speak to him at the Old Camp market and agree to retrieve Cor Kalom's Dreamjuice Recipe from the Swamp Camp.
Reach the laboratory
Baal Parvez sits by the nearby campfire and can guide the trip. Ask about salvation and agree to visit his camp. Help him when necessary because escorts can be killed.
At the Swamp Camp entrance, ask Lester for directions to Cor Kalom's Laboratory. Follow him, climb the laboratory stairs, and find the chest left of Kalom's work area behind Caine's usual position. Night is a better opportunity when Caine is away and Kalom is asleep.
Open the chest

Take the recipe and return to Dexter at the market. If it is night, look for him sleeping in a nearby hut. Delivery awards 350 XP, three Dreamcalls, and Dexter's support for Old Camp admission. The return trip has no escort, so prepare for the wildlife on the road.
