Tialla is a playable character in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave and one of the first units to fight alongside Cai on his route. She is fifteen, she grew up in the same village he did, and she enters the Heroic Games as part of the Ribeira Winds. Nintendo's character profile presents her as the reader of the group: a girl who has packed a great deal of knowledge into a short life, and who has inherited a strategist's eye from the grandfather who raised her.

Official material bolds the short form Tialla as her name in play, with Tialla August given as the fuller form. The Japanese name is ティアラ, read Tiara, and the Korean release uses the same reading.
Tialla comes from the village of Ribeira, the same quiet place Cai grew up in, and the two have been friends since childhood. She lives with her grandfather, a retired military strategist, and her profile credits her with a rare talent for strategy inherited from him. That framing puts her in the tactician role inside her clan rather than at the front of it, which matches how she is used in footage: she is a magic user standing behind the line while Cai leads with a lance.
She is one of three fifteen year olds who set out together. Cai and Peter are the same age, and the story opens on the day Cai turns fifteen and his father is taken to the prison beneath Dagsion. Tialla and Peter are with him when he decides to enter the Heroic Games to win his father's freedom, and Ultand joins the group a little later.
Her profile describes her as an avid reader. The four things it lists as her likes are libraries, talking about love, her grandfather, and board games. Nothing else about her temperament has been published ahead of launch, and no support conversations have been shown.
Tialla is listed as starting in the Commoner class, the unrestricted beginner class that can pick up any weapon type without a proficiency bonus. Preview footage shows her using magic, and she is one of the units whose weapon proficiency unlocks have been read off screen: reaching Reason rank D+ grants her Black Magic Lv. 1, which adds 3 to her hit rate when she attacks with black magic. See Classes and Combat System for how proficiency ranks and skill unlocks work generally.
She also appears in the Direct as the example of a unit falling in battle, in the sequence demonstrating Fortuna's Blessing. Her line there is "Sorry. I think I need a break."
