Revision 4

Fabio Gil Toro Álvarez is a playable character in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, and a missionary who arrived in Dagda from a land far from the continent. He joins Dietrich as part of House Lamine and fights with dark magic. He is the first unit recruited on the Lion route.

Profile

An Outsider in Dagda

Official character profiles introduce Fabio as a mysterious missionary of the Church of Seiros who came from a distant land, which makes him and Dietrich the two members of the cast from outside the continent. They come from the same region, but they had no acquaintance with each other before they both reached Dagda. Under House Lamine he serves alongside Esmeralda and Mikaela. As of September 2026, this wiki has not documented anything further about that homeland or his church from this game, and none is written here.

Personality

Fabio is rational and, by his own habit, contemptuous. He looks down on other people and refers to them as beasts, while treating anyone he judges thoughtful with real respect regardless of their age. The list of things he enjoys is unsettling on purpose: suffering, half remembered feelings, and taking beautiful things apart.

In Battle

Nintendo's profile describes him as an enigmatic missionary skilled in dark magic whose special techniques break the enemy's will to fight. Footage places him in the Diviner class, the hybrid role that carries a weapon and casts at the same time, and in the Shaman class during the inn segment of the presentation. His weapon list in one showing includes a greyed out Wooden Bow, which Diviners cannot equip at all, so the loadouts on display are demonstration builds rather than final ones. As of September 2026, no stats have been published for him.

On Dietrich's Path

Fabio is in the first battle of Dietrich's path, against bandits in Chapter 1, A Stranger Comes To Dagda, which is lost if Dietrich or Fabio falls; he can already Heal. Later chapters hold optional scenes with him: in Chapter 5 the player can talk to him and then watch a scene in the eastern alleys, and in Chapter 10 a further scene near Temple Row at 18:00 only appears if the Chapter 5 scene was seen. Another scene in the alley east of the markets comes in Chapter 12.

Dietrich's Paralogue

Fabio hands out Dietrich's Paralogue, Sealed-Off Past, near the Arena, from 10/16 on the in-game calendar. Only Theodora's and Leda's paths can play it, since no lord can reach their own paralogue. It is a ten-turn defense map, and it rewards two Salamanders, 20000 gold and 150 Renown.

Recruitment

He joins automatically on Dietrich's path. Leda is the only other lord who can recruit him, and only late: besides Support and Renown she has to clear Dietrich's Paralogue, wait until Dietrich's team has been knocked out of the tournament, around Chapter 12, and offer him a suitable item. A Da Mina weapon has worked for that item.

Notes

As of September 2026, this wiki has not documented an age, a birthday, a family or a Diadem for Fabio. His full name is given in dialogue rather than in his profile, and only the given name is used in menus.

Related Pages

He is the first unit recruited on the Lion route, so his story starts where Dietrich's does. The clan he registers under is listed with the rest on Factions, and the class footage puts him in is Diviner.
