Diego is a playable character in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave and the bodyguard of Orchel, the masked priest who leads the clan Linaria Morning Dew. Almost everything shown of him so far is that job. He also turns up on the other side of the field, as an enemy early in the chapters that follow Theodora.
Field | Detail |
|---|---|
Japanese name | ディエゴ |
Gender | Male |
Clan | Linaria Morning Dew |
Class | Shown as a Myrmidon |
Role | Playable, and a boss on one route |
Duty | Bodyguard to Orchel |
Voice | Not announced |
Diego is attached to Orchel and follows her around Dagsion. His one recorded line is a complaint about the job: "I just wish you weren't so keen to do that. That'll make it much harder for me to guard you." She refuses to remove her gold cat mask in front of anyone, and a chancellor has become fixated on her, so the guarding is not a formality.
Linaria Morning Dew is her clan, and Diego is listed in it alongside Seteth and Loretta. Like several of the smaller clans, it appears both as an ally and as an opponent depending on which Hero the player is following. Factions sets out the full list.
He has been shown in three different arrangements, which is a good illustration of how the route structure reuses the supporting cast.
Appearance | Detail |
|---|---|
Guest with Orchel | Fights as a green unit under her banner when her clan teams up with Leda and Anatolia against the Palma Fighters |
Guest with Orchel | Appears in Dietrich party footage, partnered with Orchel, when their combined force meets the Arago generals |
Boss against Megaira's Beacon | Listed as an early chapter boss on the Theodora route |
Playable | Shown as a Myrmidon on the player's side, fighting against Ribeira Winds |
No join chapter, voice credit or personal background has been announced for him, and the Myrmidon class comes from a battle screen rather than from a published profile. See Classes for how the sword line works in this game.
