The Organa Order is a named faction in DragonSword: Awakening and the home institution of the Heretic Inquisitor Theresia. Hound13 has confirmed that the Order fields exactly ten such Inquisitors, each carrying summary authority to execute anyone judged to be a heretic on sight, anywhere on the Continent of Orbis.
Field | Detail |
|---|---|
Faction type | Religious-judicial order |
Named role | Heretic Inquisitor |
Number of Inquisitors | Ten |
Additional named role | Saintess of the Dawn |
Named member | Theresia (Inquisitor with twin sacred maces; Bleed and Stun) |
Named Saintess | Ornette (Saintess of the Dawn; scythe; Electrocution and Knockdown) |
Mandate | Execution of heretics on sight, in any region |
Operating area | Continent of Orbis, every region |
First revealed | April 2026 Theresia Hero Trailer |
Hound13's public framing of the Order centres on its authority to execute. Each of the ten Inquisitors holds the absolute right to execute anyone deemed a heretic on sight, and the role is portrayed as patrolling the entire continent rather than guarding a single city or temple. The shape is closer to a roving inquisitorial circuit than a standing army.

Because the authority is summary, an Inquisitor's appearance functions as a verdict rather than the start of a process. That gives the Order a very specific texture inside the wider faction map of Orbis: not a private mercenary corps and not a state military, but something with the weight of religious doctrine behind it.
Two public role tiers sit inside the Organa Order. The Heretic Inquisitors are the Order's enforcement arm, with summary authority to execute heretics on sight. The Saintess of the Dawn is the only other publicly named role, held by Ornette as of the May 2026 Hero Trailer. Hound13 frames the Saintess as the most benevolent and selfless at heart of the Order, while still capable of rendering cold judgment upon heretics who stand against it. Whether the Saintess of the Dawn is a singular titled office held by Ornette alone or a wider class of saintly clerics inside the Order has not been publicly spelled out yet.
Mechanically the two roles sit at different points of the combat map. Theresia's Inquisitor kit centres on Bleed and Stun delivered through twin sacred maces, while Ornette's Saintess kit pairs Electrocution and Knockdown delivered through a scythe and sacred magic. Together they show the Order fielding a heavy-melee enforcer and a hybrid magic-action cleric rather than a single combat archetype.
The Heretic Inquisitor is the only role of the Organa Order that has been publicly detailed. There are exactly ten Inquisitors. As of the April 2026 announcement cycle, only Theresia was the only Inquisitor individually named. The May 2026 Ornette Hero Trailer added the second confirmed in-faction Hero in a different role.
Inquisitor | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Confirmed | Wields twin sacred maces. Stacks the Bleed and Stun ailments. Subject of the Theresia Hero Trailer. | |
Other nine Inquisitors | Not yet revealed | May or may not be in the playable Hero pool of nineteen. To be revealed during the pre-launch campaign and beyond. |
The Organa Order is one of the factions Hound13 has called "entangled in complex interests" on the Continent of Orbis. Two other factions are publicly named:
Red Fox Mercenary Corps - the for-hire outfit fielding Kalien.
The mercenary band that Lute, Johnny, Castella, and Aria fall in with; sometimes referred to as Johnny Mercenary, but no formal corps name has been published.
How the Order interacts with mercenary outfits and with the modern threat of the reawakened Dragon has not been spelled out in pre-launch material. Theresia's mandate to patrol every region puts the Order on the same map as the rest of the cast, which makes some level of overlap inevitable.
Theresia's weapons are described as sacred maces, which positions the Order's iconography on the religious-warrior side of fantasy faction design rather than the secular-mercenary side. The Order has not been tied to a specific named deity in public material, although Hound13's framing of Lute's healing as drawn from the Goddess's power suggests there is a pantheon at work in the wider setting.

The Organa Order was first named publicly in the April 2026 Theresia Hero Trailer. The trailer is the same pre-launch wave that introduced the Buy-to-Play Model of the Steam release and confirmed both the July 2026 launch and the June 2026 Steam Next Fest demo.
