The Webzen publishing dispute pivoted DragonSword from a Korean free-to-play launch into the self-published buy-to-play DragonSword: Awakening. A Seoul court dismissed Webzen's injunction on July 22, 2026; no appeal has been reported since, and the main lawsuit remains pending.
