DragonSword: Awakening has nineteen playable Heroes, each with a distinct Status Ailment kit. All are unlockable through story and in-game play under the buy-to-play Western release. Six Heroes have been individually named as playable so far: Lute, Castella, Aria, Kalien, Theresia, and Ornette. A seventh publicly named character, Johnny, has not yet been confirmed as one of the playable nineteen.
