The Sage's Peak is a mountain range located at the northernmost tip of Hernand, where it borders Pailune's Silver Wolf Mountain. The area serves as the transition zone between the temperate Hernand region and the cold northern territory.
According to legend, an ancient sage of Hernand advised his descendants never to cross those peaks, warning that the lands beyond were nothing but cold and barren wastes. This cautionary folklore shaped the attitudes of Hernand's residents toward the northern frontier for generations.
The Sage's Peak area includes several waypoints, such as River Breeze Hearth and Trovak Camp. A Sealed Abyss Artifact can be found along the road and river northwest of these landmarks. The Pailune region's fast travel network includes an Abyss Nexus point in The Sage's Peak area.
Roothold, the mountain fort built around the Eldertree, began as a camp for travelers bound for The Sage's Peak. This connection underscores the peak's importance as a destination and waypoint in Hernand's northern reaches.

Sage's Peak is one of the best dual-purpose farming locations in the mid game. The area near the giant fan structure contains rock-like Abyss creatures similar to those found near The Witchwoods. These enemies drop Iron Ore, Abyss Cells, and even Abyss Cores. Iron Ore remains useful well into the late game for upgrading weapons and armor, making this farm relevant throughout an entire playthrough.
To keep the enemies respawning, leave at least one large rock creature alive. If the surviving enemy defeats you, you will respawn at the nearby checkpoint and the full area resets.
