Overview

Smiting Bolt is a ranged combat skill in Crimson Desert, exclusive to Damiane. It belongs to the Stamina (Blue) branch of the skill tree.

Skill Details

Effect

Press R2 to call down a spear of light to damage enemies. The projectile descends from above, striking the targeted area with significant impact damage.

Combat Tips

Smiting Bolt is Damiane's signature ranged attack and one of her most versatile tools. It can hit enemies at any range, including targets behind cover if aimed properly. Invest Abyss Artifacts to unlock Smiting Bolt Proficiency and Smiting Bolt Sure Hit for improved consistency and follow-up potential.

Range Tactics

Smiting Bolt summons a spear of light that descends from above rather than traveling on a flat trajectory. Because the spear comes down vertically, it can strike targets behind low cover as long as Damiane has line of sight to the area above the enemy. This is the best way to punish archers and mages who try to hide behind crates, walls, or rocks at midrange.

The descent is slow enough that agile enemies can sidestep the spear before impact. Upgrade to Lv 3 for Smiting Bolt Sure Hit if you plan to use Smiting Bolt against evasive bosses. Until then, combine it with a grouping tool such as Storm Pillar so that multiple enemies are hit by the area of impact even if one of them dodges.
