Overview

Plate Armors of the World, Vol. III is the third and most advanced volume in the plate armor crafting manual series for Crimson Desert. While Vol. I covers foundational plate recipes available in the Hernand region, this manual unlocks end-game plate pieces with the highest defense values and Abyss Core slot counts in the game. The armor crafted from this volume is designed for players who want maximum survivability in the toughest encounters.

How to Obtain

Location: Inside the Gorthak Ironworks in Gorthak territory.

The manual is found inside the Gorthak Ironworks, a large forge complex in the Gorthak region. Unlike many other crafting manuals, this one is available as a free pickup with no stealing required. Walk into the Ironworks and look for the book sitting on a workbench or shelf near the main forge area.

The Gorthak territory is accessible in the later portions of the game, so this manual naturally becomes available during late-game progression.

Unlocked Armor Pieces

After reading this manual, the following plate armor pieces become available for crafting:

Vol. III recipes require more Iron Ore and Copper Ore per piece than the earlier volumes. Make sure to stock up on both ores before reaching the Gorthak region. Mining nodes can be found throughout Gorthak territory, but having a reserve speeds up the crafting process.

Tips

• The Gorthak Ironworks is easy to miss if you rush through the region. Take time to explore the forge buildings thoroughly.

• Vol. III pieces complement the broader selection from Vol. I. Mix and match pieces from both volumes for the best defense loadout.

• Refine Vol. III armor at the smithy for even higher defense values. These pieces have the highest refinement ceiling among craftable plate gear.
