Muckroot Ranch is a settlement southeast of the City of Hernand, established by the goatherd Ibano. The ranch was built by reclaiming barren land that was once difficult to cultivate, and it has since become a place where goats roam freely across the grounds. Despite its humble origins, the ranch now serves as an important waypoint for travelers and a location tied to several story events.
Muckroot Ranch lies southeast of the City of Hernand, positioned near the Greymane Camp to the south. The ranch contains a teleportation pad that serves as a fast travel point, making it a convenient stop when moving between the city and the camp.

During the Actions Speak Louder than Words main quest in Chapter 1, players arrive at Muckroot Ranch to find a house surrounded by smoke and a man (Arlan) rolling from the roof to the ground. Kliff offers to help clean the chimney while Arlan takes a break. To complete the task, jump onto the roof and interact with the smoking chimney. This quest rewards the Hernandian Attire, which is essential for entering Hernand Castle, plus inventory expansion tools.
A hidden Abyss Transporter can be found in an underground room beneath Muckroot Ranch. From the ranch building, head northwest to find a lonely shed. Inside the shed is a hatch. Open the hatch to descend into an underground ruin that contains the Abyss Transporter (marked with a white circle icon on the map).
Kuku Pot: Must be obtained by completing the Kiln Repair at the Kilnden Workshop quest.
Focused Force Palm: This skill must be learned before accessing certain elements of the underground area.
The underground ruin is one of several hidden Abyss Transporter locations scattered throughout Pywel. These transporters provide additional fast travel options beyond the standard Abyss Nexus network.
Muckroot Ranch offers vendor services including shops and a blacksmith. Various gatherable items, collectibles, crafting manuals, and recovery items can be found around the ranch grounds.
Actions Speak Louder than Words: A Chapter 1 main quest. Clean the chimney at the ranch to earn the Hernandian Attire.
The Man Trapped in the Mire: A Chapter 2 main quest involving the rancher Ibano, whose goats had their horns sawed off. Ibano eventually relocates to Muckroot Ranch.
