Kliff is alive after defeating Myurdin, but his body is battered and broken. With no choice but to rest and recover, Oongka takes over command and handles the cleanup of enemy remnants. This quest marks a turning point: for the first time, the player controls Oongka rather than Kliff.
This quest consists entirely of a post-battle cutscene. After defeating Myurdin, the scene shows Kliff's injuries and the aftermath of the battle. Oongka steps forward to take charge.
The quest completes automatically when the cutscene ends. Gameplay then resumes with the player controlling Oongka. No combat, exploration, or additional actions are required.
From this point forward (through the end of Chapter 7), you control Oongka. His combat style differs from Kliff's:
Oongka cannot equip shields. He blocks and parries using L1/LB with his bare arms or weapons.
He can dual-wield one-handed weapons, giving him faster attack chains than Kliff.
His default weapon is a large double-handed axe, which is slow. Switching to dual swords is strongly recommended for the upcoming boss fight.
Take note of Oongka's moveset before the next quest. His dual-wielding style requires different timing than Kliff's sword-and-shield approach.
Check Oongka's inventory. He may have weapons and items that Kliff did not carry. Equip the best available gear.
The next two quests in the Twisted Fate sub-chapter lead to a boss fight where you play as Oongka. Familiarize yourself with his controls now.
Save your progress before starting this quest, especially if you are playing on a higher difficulty setting.
Late-game quests ramp up in difficulty significantly. Make sure your equipment is fully enhanced and your consumable stock is replenished before entering each new quest.
