Overview

Departure of the Brave is a main quest in Chapter 12: The Abyss of Crimson Desert. It is part of The Final Battle arc, representing a major moment where Kliff and his allies commit to a final, decisive push. Brave warriors from across Pywel volunteer for what may be a one-way mission into the heart of the Abyss. The quest carries heavy emotional weight as characters say their farewells and prepare for the ultimate confrontation.

1. Speak with allies at the staging area and prepare for the final push

4. Depart toward the Forbidden Gate alongside the brave volunteers

Walkthrough

This quest is more narrative-driven than combat-focused. After the setback in Deferred Advance, the allied forces regroup and Kliff must rally those willing to continue the fight.

Speak with your companions at the Greymane Camp and other staging areas. Several dialogue sequences develop character relationships and set the tone for the final confrontation. Once all farewells are complete, the brave depart toward the gate leading deeper into the Abyss.

Preparation Checklist

Before departing, make sure you have completed the following:

• Fully upgrade your best weapons and armor at a smithy or the Greymane Camp forge

• Stock up on Grilled Meat, Palmar Pills, and any other recovery items

• Equip your strongest Abyss Cores for the difficult encounters ahead
