Overview

The Delesyia Shotgun is a ranged weapon in Crimson Desert classified under the rifle category. Named after the Delesyia region, this shotgun delivers 16 Attack Power, making it one of the stronger firearms available. Unlike muskets, which excel at long range, the Delesyia Shotgun is designed for close-range engagements. Its spread pattern fires multiple pellets in a wide cone, making it effective against enemies that have closed the distance.

The shotgun functions as a close-range interrupt tool in combat. A well-timed blast to the chest of a charging enemy can break their hyper-armor and create the opening needed to follow up with a heavy melee strike. This makes the Delesyia Shotgun particularly valuable as a sidearm for melee-focused builds, giving Kliff a reliable way to shut down aggressive enemies without committing to a dodge.

How to Obtain

The Delesyia Shotgun is crafted at a Blacksmith. To unlock the recipe, players must first acquire and read the Ranged Weapons of the World: Guns, Vol. II crafting manual. The crafting materials required are:

• Iron Ore x7

• Copper Ore x2

Crafting manuals for firearms can be found throughout Pywel by stealing from bookshelves in manors and estates, or by purchasing them from specialty merchants. The Guns, Vol. II manual is a higher-tier book, so it may be located in a later-game region.

Refinement and Upgrades

The Delesyia Shotgun supports refinement at any Blacksmith, with each tier increasing base stats. The 5 Abyss Core slots can be filled at a Witch vendor. For a shotgun, cores that improve stagger damage or close-range damage modifiers are particularly effective, since the weapon is designed for point-blank encounters.

Combat Tips

The Delesyia Shotgun shines as a defensive interrupt tool rather than a primary damage source. When an enemy begins a charging attack or winds up a combo, switching to the shotgun and firing at close range can break their hyper-armor, staggering them and creating a punish window. This is especially effective against aggressive humanoid enemies and mid-tier bosses that rely on rush-down tactics.

Against groups of enemies, the shotgun's spread can hit multiple targets at once, though the damage per pellet is lower than a focused musket shot. The weapon is less effective at range, so do not try to snipe with it. Keep it holstered until an enemy gets too close, then use it as a counter-measure before switching back to your primary weapon.
