Arben Greatsword is a two-handed greatsword in Crimson Desert. It is classified as an Epic-grade weapon with a base Attack of 6.
As a two-handed weapon, this greatsword requires both hands to wield, preventing the use of an off-hand item. Two-handed weapons compensate with higher damage output and wider attack arcs compared to their one-handed counterparts.

This Epic-grade weapon can be obtained through various means including quest rewards, merchant purchases, enemy drops, and treasure chests found throughout Pywel.
Enhanced versions of this weapon can be crafted at a workbench using the materials listed in the crafting recipe table above.
At maximum enhancement, Arben Greatsword reaches an Attack value of 45, making it one of the stronger options in its category. Investing refinement materials early can pay dividends throughout the mid and late game.
Two-handed blades deliver sweeping attacks with wide arcs. Position yourself to catch multiple enemies in a single swing. Use charged heavy attacks to break through enemy guards when they are blocking.
As a two-handed weapon, this greatsword prevents the use of off-hand equipment. Consider your build and playstyle carefully when choosing between the higher damage of two-handed weapons and the versatility of one-handed options with shields or dual-wielding.

The Arben Greatsword is hidden on a small island in the middle of the sea between Demonis and Delicia on the world map. Players who have been sailing the area for other exploration tend to pass right over it, since nothing on the surface signals the hidden tavern below. The pickup is short once the steps are known, but each step has a specific environmental cue that is easy to miss.
Sail to the island. Locate the small island between Demonis and Delicia and put ashore. There is one prominent tree near the middle of the island; that tree is the marker for the pickup.
Burn the thorn patch. Near the central tree is a patch of thorns blocking the way forward. Use the Blinding Flash ability to burn the thorns away. The flash clears the path and reveals a hatch in the ground that the thorns were hiding.
Open the hatch and drop in. Interact with the hatch to lift it open and drop down into the hidden tavern below.
Loot the chest, take the Arben Greatsword, and grab the gold bars. Inside the tavern is a chest with miscellaneous loot in it, but the real prize is the Arben Greatsword sitting nearby. A patch made the gold bars on the tavern floor lootable, so pick those up on the way out for a free silver injection.
Although the Arben Greatsword is a character-specific weapon (it scales with a particular character's loadout rather than universally), its visual identity is part of why the community considers this pickup worth chasing. The draw animation is one of the more distinctive in the game; the way the blade is pulled into the wielder's grip on first equip looks unrealistic relative to the character's silhouette, but the animation team leaned into it as a style flourish. As a trophy weapon, the Arben Greatsword is a strong candidate for the weapon wheel slot reserved for show pieces.
Equip Blinding Flash before sailing out. Returning to swap abilities after arriving on the island wastes a sailing round trip.
Save before opening the hatch. If you fall awkwardly through the drop, a reload is faster than climbing back up.
Pick up the gold bars on the tavern floor before leaving. The pre-patch version of the game had them as decorations only; the post-patch version makes them lootable, but only if you remember to interact with them.
