Initial version (2026-10-02)
Spacetime Rift: Domination is a large faction battle that opened on the Korean service on September 2, 2026. The two factions split into an attacking side and a defending side and fight over strongholds in Verteron or Altgard, reached through the Spacetime Rifts. NCsoft's Korean preview of Chapter 1. Lands of Sand and Snow described it as a large-scale mode in which Elyos and Asmodians split into attack and defense teams and carry out set missions.
NCsoft's English announcement of the Chapter 1 lineup, published on June 17, 2026, lists the mode under this name alongside Chaotic Upper Reshanta, Battlefield: Siege and Outlands. As of October 2, 2026, NCsoft has not said whether or when it comes to the global servers.
Element | Rule at launch (September 2, 2026) |
|---|---|
Days and times | Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, at the 8 PM and 11 PM Rift openings |
Map | The defending territory alternates weekly: Verteron with the Elyos defending, then Altgard with the Asmodians defending |
Requirements | Level 50, item level 4,500 and combat power 500,000, plus the achievements for clearing every stronghold in both territories |
Applying | Through the event notifier, holding at least one entry key. Three keys recharge each week, and one is used when you collect a reward. |
Timing | The battle starts five minutes after the portal appears and lasts 25 minutes. Players can join during the ten minutes the portal stays open. |
Participants | 60 minimum and 200 maximum per side, changed to 25 minimum and 500 maximum in a temporary maintenance on September 4 |
Restrictions | Expedition, Transcendence and Sanctuary dungeons cannot be used while the battle runs |
Strongholds in the defending territory are split into three groups, and one group opens at random for each battle. Each group held five strongholds at launch and has held four since September 9, 2026.
A stronghold falls when all three Monoliths in and around it are destroyed. At launch the attackers won by taking three of the five and the defenders by holding the majority until time ran out; since September 9, 2026 the attackers need three of the four.
After the preparation window a dedicated PvP state switches on, so participants can only fight each other. Field guards can still attack participants, and players can choose to show every participant with a unified nameplate and appearance.
The attacking side gets its own Kisk. Anyone can register at it regardless of party or force, and it holds more players than a Legion Kisk.
Contribution comes from destroying Monoliths, killing stronghold guards and killing enemy players. Rewards are paid by contribution ranking per class, to players above a minimum contribution.
Kills in the battle do not count toward field achievements or Rift kill missions; the mode has its own season missions.
Date | Change |
|---|---|
September 4, 2026 | Participant limits changed to 25 to 500 per side; fixed Monoliths remaining after the battle ended |
September 9, 2026 | Strongholds per group cut from five to four, with the attackers needing three of four. Battle length cut from 25 to 15 minutes. Flight time consumed while taking part halved. Contribution limited for repeatedly killing the same character, and assist contribution slightly reduced. A tab for the battle was added to the world map. |
September 16, 2026 | Points for attacking a Monolith greatly increased; movement outside the battle area restricted while taking part; merit medal rewards partly raised |
September 23, 2026 | A battlefield buff applies to participants. Attackers who return from their home server through the HUD teleport button get brief invincibility, and arrival points moved closer to the active strongholds. Defenders get a warning when their stronghold is attacked, rewards can be checked in advance, and PvP damage amplification now applies at a set ratio against Monoliths and guards. |
