Corrected the Chapter 1 update title to the official punctuation, which uses a period rather than a colon
Eltnen is the Elyos territory added by the Chapter 1. Lands of Sand and Snow update on July 1, 2026, on the Korean and Taiwanese build. It is the first expansion of the Elyos map beyond Verteron, and it is themed as a land losing its water: NCsoft frames it as the land where life and water vanished.
Its Asmodian counterpart is Morheim, and the two shipped together.
Finishing the hero quest line in Verteron spawns a spatial transfer portal in that territory. The portal checks character level, item level and combat power before it will carry you, so Eltnen is gated on progression rather than on story alone.
NCsoft has published these sub-areas in Korean only. The renderings below are the Korean names as they appear in the client, with what the region material says about each; there is no official English naming for them as of September 13, 2026.

Eltnen carries the field layer NCsoft shipped with Chapter 1 across both new territories: Sealed Dungeons, Strongholds and Monoliths as reward structures, alongside the usual field bosses and travel network.
NCsoft has said the two new territories roll out across Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 rather than arriving complete, so the Eltnen on the live build is a partial map by design.
Eltnen is Korean and Taiwanese live-build content. NCsoft has not published which Chapter 1 content is present in the global build at launch on October 5, 2026, and the global build has been described as starting with a backlog of existing content to be paced out. Do not assume Eltnen is in the global launch map.
