Assassin Global Starter Build
October 24, 2026 at 10:22 PM
Add a PvE loadout example with effective-level priorities and practical skill timing.
This provisional PvE plan helps a new Assassin learn its resource and positioning loop. It uses Global skill behavior as a starting point; encounter-specific endgame optimization is still being developed. Begin with the tools currently unlocked, then add the later skills as they become available.
Priority | Purpose |
|---|---|
Quick Slice | Restore MP with the basic chain when repeated spending drains your resources. |
Savage Roar and Insignia Explosion | Engrave Insignia, then spend the stacks. More stacks strengthen the explosion, so watch the target rather than pressing the spender blindly. |
Heart Gore | Use it when a critical hit enables it. Its MP restoration also supports continued attacking. |
Ambush and rear positioning | Ambush gains from a back attack. Shadowstrike or Infiltrate can help reach the rear, but check the target's facing again afterwards. |
For passive investment, Rear Smite supports rear attacks, while Exploit Weakness connects critical hits to additional Insignia generation. Assault Stance supports critical damage. Ambush Stance adds value to movement skills, making repositioning part of the offensive plan. These are priorities to consider as points become available.
Illusive Clone creates a short attacking window by removing Heart Gore's cooldown and adding damage to hits. Swift Contract raises Combat Speed. Savage Fang supplies Insignia quickly, and Triniel's Dagger rewards a rear attack. Choose among these as your Stigma options open; keep Evasion Stance or Evasion Contract available as an alternative when survival is the greater problem.
Approach from a safe angle, establish Insignia and look for a rear opening. Use your offensive buffs when the target is likely to remain reachable, take enabled Heart Gore opportunities and spend Insignia with the stacks in view. Return to Quick Slice when MP becomes limiting. Break off to avoid a dangerous attack, then reassess facing before re-entering.
Keep Dodge and Defiance accessible. Storm Rampage needs Stagger, so it is an opportunity skill rather than a guaranteed step in every sequence. Check Assassin Skills for unlocks and specialties, and Global Progression Walkthrough for the route that supplies your next progression resources.
These are effective-level targets for one loadout example. Mastery skill points raise a skill to level 10; equipment, Arcana and the Daevanion Board supply additional levels. Keep the activation conditions and available specialty slots in the skill tables when choosing options.
Skill family | Effective level | Priority skills |
|---|---|---|
Active | 20 | Heart Gore; Quick Slice; Insignia Explosion |
Active | 16 | Shadowstrike; Flash Slice; Infiltrate |
Active | 15 | Savage Roar |
Active | 5 | Whirlwind Slice; Storm Rampage |
Passive | 20 | Exploit Weakness |
Passive | 15 | Apply Poison; Rear Smite; Assault Stance; Ambush Stance; Defense Break; Determination; Heightened Sixth Sense |
Selected Stigma | Effective level | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
Illusive Clone | 20 | Open the damage window that removes Heart Gore's cooldown. |
Swift Contract | 20 | Raise Combat Speed before committing to the burst window. |
Triniel's Dagger | 20 | Add a rear attack and pressure the target's skill cooldowns. |
Savage Fang | 20 | Apply five Insignia stacks before spending them with Insignia Explosion. |
Prepare Swift Contract and Illusive Clone, move behind the target with Shadowstrike, then use Triniel's Dagger and Savage Fang before Insignia Explosion and Heart Gore. Keep the rear position when the boss turns; a movement skill spent on damage may be unavailable when the next mechanic forces you away.
Heart Gore retains its critical-hit activation condition; Illusive Clone removes its cooldown during its window. Build Insignia again with the Savage Roar chain and use Quick Slice to restore MP between spenders. Storm Rampage belongs in the Stagger window, and Whirlwind Slice needs its evasion trigger. Keep Defiance available for control effects rather than treating every skill as part of one repeating queue.
Favor attack, critical performance and Combat Speed for the rear damage window. Keep enough MP recovery in the loop to continue after the opening burst.
