Malta
October 9, 2026 at 11:40 PM
Added dated October features and fixes; preserved the existing guide
Malta is the location of MI6's 00 Programme training facility in 007 First Light. Chapter 1 (The Needle's Eye) and the companion segment In His Majesty's Secret Service are set there. Bond first meets M, Q, Moneypenny, Selina Tan, and John Greenway at the Malta facility. The Q Branch gadget loadout terminal and the Tactical Simulation Mode terminal are anchored to this location.
Bond arrives at Malta after the Iceland prologue. The chapter walks through the training facility's social spaces, classrooms, gadget terminals, and the dedicated TacSim room. Other 00 Programme candidates are present; some recur across the campaign. The facility serves as MI6's primary candidate-training hub.
Indoor training facility with multi-room layout
Mediterranean exterior spaces (training yards, perimeter)
Q Branch gadget loadout terminal
Tactical Simulation Mode terminal (Operations and Escalations locked behind story progression at this point)
Permissive stealth environment for tutorialization
The training chapters (The Needle's Eye and A New Home) mission set holds 5 collectibles across the training arc, plus additional intel in the adjoining Q-Lab segments. Full lists are in the Collectibles articles.
Update 1.3.0 added a missing traversal ledge to a box in the Malta arena. This is a specific training-area route repair; it does not introduce a new mission or change the collectible list.
The complete dated update history is on Day One Patch.
